Seascape Cottage is located in a private setting on a charming little island - accessible by car via a small wooden bridge. The open-concept downstairs as well as it's three bedrooms makes this an ideal retreat for the whole family. Indoors you'll find a washer and dryer as well as a heat pump to keep you cool on those hot summer days. And outside you'll find a propane BBQ on the deck and a great fire pit on the front yard. You'll even find a little beach on the property. If your family is large, we're also offering the use of our bunkie. This is located next to the cottage and will sleep an additional four people. The rate for the bunkie is $350/ wk. Please note that, if you don't choose to use the bunkie, it will be empty during your stay, ensuring your privacy. Although the location is somewhat secluded, you'll find you're close to a number of delightful diversions including white, sandy beaches, a vibrant farmers market (Saturdays), cafes and pubs, lobster suppers, antique shops, golfing, etc. As well you're within an hours drive to the capital city of Halifax (to the west) and the historic towns of Mahone Bay and Lunenburg (to the east.) And Peggy's Cove is just across the Bay.

| Beyond expectations!!!
Every morning, I sat on the Adirondack chair overlooking the bay with my coffee, hearing only the birds and surf. There is no road noise. During the day, as I looked out from this vantage point of the cottage, I would see cormorants, gulls, ducks, and other birds, as well as what I believe was a lone seal swimming during tide changes. One morning, I woke up to a deer outside the bedroom windows. As I walked down the private road, I spotted other birds, and a friendly neighbour directed me to a trail in the wooded area.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and eating utensils, the water was hot, and the common living area was spacious. We did not use the bunkie, so I cannot comment on that. The Wi-Fi is super-fast, and we streamed our favourite shows after dusk without any challenges.
The cottage is about 15 minutes from Hubbard's and 30 minutes from Chester. Both communities have great restaurants that we lunched at. The local Independent in Hubbards provided what we needed, and if it didn't, the grocery store in Chester probably had it. We enjoyed the solitude so much that we did not venture out to any other nearby community.
If you are looking for somewhere to rest, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the world, this is the place. We didn't want to leave!!!

| I arrived on what was probably the worst possible day. Driving from Moncton, I saw more cars in the ditch than ever before. Up north, I went through a blizzard, further south, it turned into rain. On the lighthouse road, a car was standing upright in the ditch, what the hell was going on !
Then came the dirt road, pure ice! That first slope Terrifying. Even in 4WD, my car barely made it and ended up sideways. Definitely a stressful arrival!
But the moment I stepped inside the house, everything changed. The energy here is peaceful, calming, and instantly feels like home.
Sally told me it was the worst weather she'd ever seen here, and I believe it. I got to enjoy breathtaking views of the bay while working. Experiencing a different kind of winter was exactly why I came, and it was absolutely worth it.
I had a white Christmas with about a foot of snow, but it melted by New Year's. Snow returned in late January, changing the scenery once again.
This place is secluded and truly special. The only thing missing is a proper workspace the table isn't ergonomic, so I got a stand-up desk converter. The mezzanine could be perfect for a dedicated office space.
Other than that, this place is incredible. If you're looking for a unique and peaceful winter escape, I highly recommend it!

| Seascape Cottage exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect for our family of 5; secluded and beautiful, but close enough to do some day trips to close by Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove. Hearing and seeing the ocean from the cottage was a perfect way to start and end the day. The inside of the cottage was clean and well stocked and the bunkie allowed each of our kids their own room and space. We hope to be able to travel back to Nova Scotia in the future and stay here again!

| If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay that is sandwiched between the crystal-clear sea and the star-studded night sky and has every convenience and all the fixtures and fittings you will ever need then this is it. The peace and quiet is only disturbed by the sounds of nature, the sea eagles, seals, and deer add that the extra thrill of seeing them up close. Clean and well maintained the house is both welcoming and functional, we stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every minute, local shops are a short drive away with major stores can be easily reached in under 30 minutes. When we had any questions, Sally was always available and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed are stay.

| If you are looking for a quiet place to hang your hat and relax by the oceanside this is the place. Little off the beaten path but within a 20 min drive to gas, groceries, NSLC as well as local restaurants and markets. Day trips from this location provide easy access to Halifax, Chester Basin, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and of course Peggy's Cove
Cottage is very well equipped, clean and very comfortable for a short visit or longer stay.
Sally is great to deal with and very accomodating as well as quick to respond to any questions or concerns.
We had great time for the month we were here and would highly recommend Seascape to anyone looking to spend some time on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
