Need to self-isolate or just looking to get away from it all? Seascape Cottage may be just what you're looking for. This lovely log cabin has recently been renovated with new windows, furniture and appliances and is being offered as a rental for the first time this summer. It's located in a private setting on a little island - accessible by a small wooden bridge. The open-concept downstairs as well as it's three bedrooms makes this an ideal retreat for the whole family. Although the location is somewhat secluded, you'll find you're close to a number of delightful diversions including white, sandy beaches, a vibrant farmers market (Saturdays), cafes and pubs, lobster suppers, antique shops, golfing, etc. As well you're within an hours drive to the capital city of Halifax (to the west) and the historic towns of Mahone Bay and Lunenburg (to the east.) And Peggy's Cove is just across the Bay. | Our family had a wonderful stay at Seascape Cottage. The house is light, bright and airy with a delightful view of the cove (and daily seal and deer visitors, at least in our experience!). The house is peaceful and remote-feeling, while being only a short drive to Hubbards. It was great being so close to the beautiful Bayswater beach, and we really enjoyed Queensland beach too. Sally was really helpful and check-in and out a breeze. Would thoroughly recommend.

| We stayed at Seascape Cottage with our family of 5. A very comfortable and well-equipped cottage. The location is quiet and secluded. Our kids enjoyed watching the deer and the seals, and spending time down by the waters edge. Many interesting locations nearby to visit for sight-seeing, shopping, or dining out. Sally, our host, was very helpful in providing a guide to the South Shore area.

Owner response: Thanks, Steve. I know we had a lot of rain and fog while you were here so I'm delighted you were able to enjoy your stay in spite of the weather. | |

| We loved Seascape Cottage! To get there, you drive through the woods and travel over a small bridge onto a tiny island. There were neighbours (in fact, our children made two new friends) yet it still felt secluded. Every day a family of deer came to visit (we began leaving offerings of apples) and there were two seal right off our beach who liked to come to play. The kids swam and fished from the property and we also went to Bayswater Beach, which was approximately a 6 minute drive from the end of the road-it was a great beach with a lifeguard. We also fished from one of the docks nearby and caught mackerel! Inside, the cottage was very clean and had a king sized bed in the loft. The WiFi was good. Out of everywhere we have stayed, this cottage had everything we needed--including things like parchment paper/cling wrap, right down to extra brand new toothbrushes if you happened to forget your own. Sally, the owner, was very responsive to all our queries both prior to arrival and after we were there AND after ensuring there was no damage, she refunded our security deposit immediately. Obviously, there is a certain amount of trust that goes into renting any place sight unseen; I do not think you will go wrong with this place and this owner.

| My wife and I recently stayed at the seascape cottage with her immediate family. The cottage fit our six guests very comfortably with three full bedrooms. Our breath was taken away as we drove the winding roads through Hubbards along the coast. The cottage is located on a small island that is picturesque, quiet and refreshing. It is 20-25 minute drive from the main part of Hubbards which includes a grocery store, distillery, creamery, several beaches, cafe, restaurants etc. We did several day trips to other places such as Lunenburg (1 hour drive), Chester (35 min drive) and Mahone Bay (45 min drive). The cottage has everything you need and is in great condition. The views of the ocean from the cottage is majestic. The cottage has a large property with a fire pit, large wrap around porch including a covered area which was great for rainy days. There is a guest house that is currently empty but it also has a porch with the best view and great for seal watching! The cottage has its own small private beach which was great for swimming, snorkelling, fishing and a great spot to launch our rental kayaks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the seascape cottage and are hoping to be able to come back next summer!
