| This was a great place to stay for 4 senior adults and two dogs. The cottage was well decorated with pictures. Lots of room outside for dogs to roam. Two decks made it easy for watching the birds using the trees on other side of river. This cottage is very well located for day tripping to nearby wineries and down town shopping. The people looking after this cottage were very friendly and helpful if you needed any information. The people and merchants in Kingsville and area were also very friendly. Only two minor problems no closets and not much dresser space. Thank You to all. Very good vegetable markets nearby.

| We had a wonderful time and would recommend Cedar Island to anyone who is considering it. That being said, there were a few disappointments with the accomodations.
For starters, the bikes and the canoe were unusable despite being advertised. We didn't bring our own as it was listed that they were available, but we almost sank in the canoe which had a hole, and the bikes were in terrible shape, no air in tires, and unrideable.
The fire pit wasn't safe to use either. The BBQ needs to be rebuilt and cleaned. It was so wobbly we were worried it was going to fall apart while cooking.
Some smaller things as well like the can opener wasn't working so we had to borrow one from the neighbour who happened to be outside; there was a piece of floor in the kitchen that felt like we were going to fall through; any kitchen stuff that we used had to be cleaned when we got there, etc.
Again, we enjoyed our stay, but felt like the listing included things that weren't really available to us. Most of the things that were small problems could be easily fixed, and hopefully that happens for future renters.
