This property is an exclusive getaway, fully licensed with local municipality, perfect for families with children or mature couples seeking a relaxing retreat with high-speed fiber-optic internet. It is a newly built, four-season custom home/ cottage.
Please note:
No parties, young groups, or event celebrations.
Maximum occupancy is 6 guests (up to 4 adults and 2 children aged 12 or under), or two couples/families within the same limits due to sleeping arrangements.
Booking Details
Summer (June–August): Check-in Sundays only. Weekly stays (Sunday–Sunday or Sunday to Saturday).
September–May: Long weekends require a minimum 3-night stay.
About the Cottage
This new, custom-built, four-season cottage was designed to be bright, spacious, and welcoming, featuring high-end finishes and tasteful décor. It is crafted for comfort, relaxation, and memory-making.
We provide:
Bedding with protective covers
Bed sheets for all guests
Toilet paper, dish soap, hand soap, and small essentials
Propane for the BBQ
Firewood for the fire pit
18L reverse-osmosis drinking water
Basic spices (salt & pepper)
We do not charge cleaning fees, but ask that guests leave the cottage in a similar condition as at check-in.
Simply bring your personal towels and your favorite groceries, and enjoy the perfect vacation or weekend escape.
Location
Just a very short walk from the pristine shores of Lake Huron at Sandy Bay in Oliphant—a hidden gem on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula. You can view the shallow bay and surrounding area on Google Maps.

10 minutes to Sauble Beach and Wiarton (home of Wiarton Willie)
45 minutes to Tobermory and Bruce Peninsula National Park
The property is quiet and private. The area is perfect for swimming, water sports, biking, hiking, birdwatching, golfing, and boat tours in summer. In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
The Space
The open-concept living room, dining room, and kitchen create a large, inviting gathering space. Features include:

| Our family of 4 plus our dog spent a week in July 2020.
This cottage is amazing - the perfect home away from home! The cottage itself was well equipped and very clean and the screened in gazebo was great for our evening meal or just quietly relaxing.
The lake was fantastic for our boys and the water was warm. The area is also popular with kite surfers and and it was fun to watch that as well. Neighbours that we encountered were all very friendly and the area has a real community vibe.
Gerrie and Alex were available for questions or if we needed anything and truly made us feel welcome.
Looking forward to going back next year!

| We loved our stay at Alex & Gerrie's cottage last summer. They were so helpful and attentive. The bay was great (walking distance) - warm clear waters and shallow for quite a bit which was perfect for us with little kids. The cottage was modern, comfortable and everything was well thought of. We enjoyed the backyard too with the fire pit and had our meals out in the covered patio out back. Bring your paddleboard! We'd love to go back there again.

| A beautiful, very private and peaceful cottage. Swimming (a short walk to the lake) is excellent for children: the entry is shallow and the water always quite warm. Inside the cottage, we had everything we needed and really enjoyed the spacious and bright living room as well as the front and back yards. Gerrie and Alex (the owners who are staying in the area) checked in occasionally and brought us extra fun things for the kids, always making sure we were well taken care of. The beds are super-comfortable and we slept better than we have in ages. We warmly recommend the cottage to anyone (especially families with children) who want to rest and relax. We hope to come back soon! Thank you so much Gerrie and Alex, this was a true vacation for us!
