Description Welcome to Port Burwell, the quiet, hidden gem beach town to the warmest waters of the Great Lakes (Erie). Less than 8 mins walk to the public beaches or 4 min drive to Port Burwell Provincial park ($) which boasts and extra 2.5 kms of the best sand in Ontario, with 5 separate beach areas, including an off-leash dog beach. The unit itself is a cute and cozy, fully winterized 2 bed, 1 bath bungalow with separate queen bed loft and a pull out queen bed in the living room. It includes a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and huge backyard. Best suited for couples/ small families.
The space Once you're inside the unit, the main floor is stair free (2 stairs to get to the front door), includes a cozy reading nook, full size sofa (which becomes a queen sized sofa bed) and two oversized chairs to sit around the gas fireplace...no need to worry if the electricity goes out - you'll stay warm all night. It is open concept, with just the right amount of privacy. Large bathroom with stand up shower. Bright colours and a table that extends to seat 6, or can fold down to maximize space and seat just 2. In the summer months, there is a window unit AC that cools the entire space when the bedroom door/curtain is left open during the day, as well as, a ceiling fan in the living room. The loft space is accessed by a ladder and has a portable AC unit. Windows throughout the unit are all upgraded with screens, aside from the big windows at the front of the cottage. When only a few of them are open, the light and the cross-breeze are phenomenal.
The first bedroom contains a Queen sized bed, with nightstands, a lamp and a dresser with extra hooks on the walls. It also has room darkening curtains, a door and a ceiling fan. The second bedroom contains bunk beds (both twin sized), a closet, lamp and shelving unit. It has a curtain for both the window and the door and a portable fan. The third bedroom located in the upstairs loft and it has a queen size bed, side tables and a portable AC unit. Wrap around deck and massive backyard for those bonfires and games, BBQs and more. We even have parking for one boat at the side of the house free of charge for the duration of your stay.
Guest access Keypad entry with a personalized code that will be sent to you the day of check in.
Neighbourhood overview Quiet and peaceful, all of our neighbours will say hi as they walk by. The main store for groceries, firewood, and anything else you may have left behind, is a 3 minute walk from the property. At the end of our road, boasts the best sunsets and place to watch seasonal fireworks with its own bench to sit and rest, overlooking the bluff and lake.
Getting around Walking, biking or driving. All of the street parking is unlimited and free, including that at the public beach. The Provincial Park entry is free from Monday to Thursday.
Other things to note We have an LCBO and a fully equipped grocery store right in town!! This house is not beachfront, nor is any house in Port Burwell. You can hear the waves from anywhere outside the unit but you must walk, or drive to the beach. Some sides of the road do not have sidewalks, but the walk itself is flat, until you reach a small hill to get down to the beach area. Summer bookings are to start on Monday and end Sundays. If we can accomodate a Sunday check in at the beginning of the week, or a Monday check out at the end, we will communicate this with you as soon as possible pending our work schedules, as our cleaner does not work weekends, and cannot guarantee a Monday availability strictly between check out and check ins. Sheets are provided and pillow covers, but not a top cover so please pack according to the weather for your stay.

| We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cozy cottage. It was really clean, nicely decorated with cottage decor (loved the pictures). The window AC unit kept it cool on the hot days. Our days were spent fishing and going to the beach. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner on the back porch that overlooked a large backyard. We didn't get to use the Hot Tub (it was really hot during that week). The late evenings we had a few fires in the backyard. Port Burwell has great beaches. Excellent fishing at the end of August. Miranda and Daniel are great hosts. If you are looking for a lovely little cottage in the Port Burwell I would recommend the Kosecki Kottage. Thank you for hosting us.

Owner response: Thank you for the kind review. I hope next time we can earn that extra star . If there were any issues during your stay, feel free to contact Dan or myself so we can address them for our next guests. Have a nice summer and come back again, or try out one of our other properties if you can, sometime soon. The koseckis | |

| We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is well stocked, clean and very close to the beach and little town. The hot tub is great, we enjoyed using it in the evenings. Our dog Poppy loved running around in the large backyard and we loved it's fully fenced in. The dog beach is just a five min drive. We look forward to exploring returning in the winter! Daniel was super fast at responding to any questions we had. Thanks for hosting us!

| We adored this well-cared for little cottage in the sleepy lakeside village of Port Burwell. Owners were great, answering any questions we had without delay. Comfortably furnished with a welcoming beach decor. Comfortable bed, good shower. Lots of DVDs to choose from. A window a/c and ceiling fans keep the entire cottage cool and comfortable. Cottage features a wrap around deck that is large and spacious at the back where you'll find a newer glass top table for 6, two zero gravity loungers, a bbq and just off the deck, a hot tub. (We didn't use the hot tub as it was very hot during our stay.) The deck overlooks a very large fenced yard. We spent our days at the neighbouring (about a 5 minute drive) provincial park that offers a huge sandy beach with shallow entry and includes a super dog beach! There is a municipal beach even closer, though dogs are not permitted. Several food options in the village, including pizza, burgers, fish & chips, and a Caribbean restaurant. A very friendly place and a perfect cottage. Hope to return next summer!
