| We just came back from the cottage and we are sad that our short vacation is already over. If you like drinking morning coffee and watching kids playing in clear lake surrounded with beautiful view - this cottage is for you. We had great time being there. Location on west side of the lake was excellent for us to observe beautiful sun raises. We were setting clock to watch them. Location was great to plan car trips to many interesting places located not very far like Algonquin Park, area surrounding the Kameniskeg Lake with many hiking trails. We drove a bit farther to see beautiful 100m deep Baron Canyon. We visited Barys Bay, Wilno, Comembere and Lake Woodsworth areas of the 19 century first Polish immigrants settlement, with many historical places which were great to see. Home is very clean and spacious, nicely arranged creating cottage climate with good quality furniture and well equipped to feel as at home. We were nicely surprised here, as all was new and good quality, not like in many other cottages we rented before. Terrain around cottage was nicely arranged with comfortable steps to access deck and water. Bottom was mostly sandy. Cottage was equipped with canoe, paddle-boat safety vests, fishing rods, lots of table games etc. We had nice view of the small island and some picturesque rocks through the facing lake panoramic windows. Barry's Bay has all the stores we needed to do grocery; Metro, Value Mart, LCBO Store or even Pet Store and Friday Farmer's Market

| Such a fabulous quaint cottage and the lake and views made this the perfect spot for our family vacation. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to cook our meals and be very comfortable. The new kitchen was a real treat, very charming. We especially loved the big dining table for a couple of evening game nights. Our family spent most of our week outside enjoying the clear and warm water. The cottage was perfect for us to swim, canoe and fish. We also enjoyed white water rafting at the nearby Madawaska Kanu Centre. The road the cottage is on is very quiet and made for some nice walks. At night our family enjoyed the fire pit area that sits high on the property allowing for the lovely view. I highly recommend this cottage!

| We had a great time at the cottage. The kitchen and living area was renovated and very nice. Didn't find anything that was missing from the kitchen and I love to cook! The rest of the cottage is dated but not an issue. We enjoyed the firepit as it was located close to the side door.
I loved the wildlife. Two red squirrels almost ran over my feet. Saw the loon, merganser ducks and grebes on the lake. Also saw lots of bird activity on the deck.
Swimming was great. Sand and rock bottom not requiring water shoes. Also a ladder off the end of the dock so no issues getting into the water. We spent hours floating off the dock! The water is warm although there is very little sun on the dock most of the day.
My only issue with this rental is the fact that I was expected to clean the cottage at the end. I was asked to clean the shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom. Sweep and wash the floors. Wipe out the fridge. I have no issue leaving a cottage wiped down but I didn't think it was appropriate to be asked to clean. There was 4 hours between rentals so a cleaning person should have come in to do this. Any other rental I have had included cleaning fee.

Owner response: Suzanne, Thanks for the review. Concerning the clean issue as we have discussed by email, it was a misunderstanding. The note was left for our friends that used the cottage the week before you. The note was part for the deal for coming to our cottage. They should have removed the note about cleaning. We do not ask the clients to clean the shower, toilet, and wash the floor. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks again | |

| Super clean cottage, well stocked, roomy, with great views. The owners were easy to communicate with and very helpful.
We had a wonderful time relaxing here. The cottage is cute and well appointed. It was very clean, neat and tidy. The kitchen was newly renovated and was nicely stocked with all the essentials. The dining and living area were also renovated, with plenty of room for entertaining kids and adults. The large windows facing the lake made for great views all day long. With three bedrooms and a good sized bathroom, the cottage was very functional.
We also made use of the deck with the BBQ and dining set. We were wondering about bugs but they weren't a problem at all. We used the canoe and paddle boat every day, enjoyed by the kids and adults alike. The little islands and large island were fun to explore. We met some loons and made friends with chipmunks and eastern squirrels. The clean water and sandy bottom made for great swimming. Sunrises on the dock and sunsets around the firepit made great memories!
We would 100% recommend staying at this cottage!

| This was the cleanest and nicest cottage we've ever stayed at with our family of 6. The water was clear and fishing was amazing. We got to enjoy our boat with all the water sports and fishing. The views are spectacular. White water rafting 5 minutes away was a hit with the whole family. Looking forward to going again next year.
