Families only please: we will not be hosting party-groups. WE REQUIRE ABSOLUTE COMPLIANCE WITH NOISE BYLAWS, FIRE BANS AND SENSITIVITY TO LAKE NEIGHBOURS. A guest-list registry will be requested. (Summer rentals are a minimum of one week) This 5.5 bedroom waterfront cottage has a spacious, open-concept dining/ living room with large bay windows and large, elevated front deck. The large trees surrounding the cottage add to the 'cottage' feel. A wonderful waterfront and dock experience awaits.
This cottage is located 30 minutes north of Huntsville on beautiful Three Mile Lake. The large cottage has an open concept kitchen and living room with 5.5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a rec-room. There is Bell satellite TV(living room and rec-room), and Xplorenet satellite internet/wifi(25MB/S). The large bay windows offer a great outside view. Since the cottage has many levels, the bedrooms are separated for a sense of privacy and offer two or more families this advantage. The large master bedroom is at the top with two other bedrooms and one bathroom. The large side-split bedroom off the main floor has its own side-room with an additional bed and walkout. The basement bedroom is very private and has its own ensuite bathroom.
The basement rec-room has ping pong, foosball, a lakeside walkout, and satellite TV: perfect for the kids.
The cottage has a rustic charm and is definitely a one-of a kind with its dormers upstairs and reclaimed douglas fir joist and beams on the main floor. The main floor is a front-split with a sunken living room below the open-concept kitchen for added height and spaciousness.
The beautiful property is 100 feet wide by 200 feet long with large trees surrounding the cottage to give it a great cottage-feel. With a large wrap-around upper deck and a large lower deck, the best afternoon spot is to relax on the large south-facing top deck as the setting sun sparkles through the mature hemlocks in front of the cottage.
Walking down the slope to the lake there is a boathouse/change-room and hot-tub just above the water's edge. The waterfront is shallow and sandy for the first 40 feet which is great for kids or for tossing a ball around. The south-facing dock gets the sun in the afternoon but has umbrellas for shade, if needed. Since the water is seldom very rough, it is perfect for swimming, fishing, or water sports. You can dive right off the dock(8') but we also have a higher diving platform just off the dock. It is in 15 feet of water depth and is perfect for working on your back-flip...
There is a BBQ on the road-side deck by the kitchen. There are top-deck tables and chairs which can be used for relaxing or moving the meals outside. There is a trampoline, basketball net, and fire pit (we provide wood!). We have many canoes, 2 kayaks, and 3 SUPs. There is a country golf-course 8km away. Burk's Falls has groceries and Tim's and is an 8km drive. Hwy 60 at Hwy 11(Huntsville) is 28km south of the Three Mile Lake turn off.
The cottage has a drilled well(330' deep) and the water is fine for drinking(tastes great!).
For winter guests, we are about 40km from Hidden Valley Ski Resort. There are crosscountry skis and snowshoes at the cottage for your use. There are areas for kids to tobaggan on the property. There is usually an ice rink but this is weather dependent. The cottage has a propane furnace and two wood stoves with firewood provided. The hot tub will be shut down from November until May.

| A special place on Three Mile Lake!
This gorgeous home is located nestled among the trees with thoughtful details for the whole family including a well stocked kitchen, big new BBQ and all the cottage outdoor toys you can think of.
We loved swimming, canoeing, fishing and dining al fresco on the wonderful deck looking out on the water. Our kids loved the foosball table, fishing off the dock and the hot tub. The home is spacious and well appointed with something for everyone rain or shine. The lake is beautiful and we had fun exploring it. We felt very comfortable and at ease on this beautiful property and enjoyed campfires and sunsets.
We made many wonderful memories during our week long stay-highlight of our summer. Would rebook again! A real gem.

| This is a gorgeous, multi-family cottage with generous principal rooms, excellent clean and high quality facilities and a beautiful woodland setting.
The hosts are exceptional. They have provided a welcoming and well stocked home with all the accompaniments to make any stay the ultimate cottage experience. From a very well equipped kitchen and top of the line propane bbq to an expansive games room in the basement, to a grand back patio, this home provides all the comforts of the city in a beautiful forest of hard and soft wood mature trees. The lake, with a large double dock and umbrellas and chairs aplenty, is a warm, calm and beautiful expanse that can be enjoyed by swimming, bosting or the use of the many paddle boards and kayaks with the property. The hot tub and fire pit offer cozy and luxurious complementary experiences that make even the coolest day or evening bright and enjoyable. This is a genuine treasure of a home that is well thought out, clean and well stocked enough to make any vacation immensely relaxing and a true getaway. Would love to rent again with the rate very reasonable for the amenities available.

| This stunning waterfront cottage is a true piece of paradise as it has so many wonderful amenities to offer, located in picturesque cottage country, just a short drive from the GTA. The exquisite craftsmanship of this uniquely designed structure is truly remarkable and has been built using beautiful, locally sourced reclaimed wood. Our family of five had a ball exploring all of the amazing surprises this property has to offer. Inside, the 2 wood burning stoves offer ample wintertime heat, allowing for fun family games of pingpong, board games and darts. Outside, this winter wonderland offers everything from cross country skiing and hiking, to sledding and skating on beautiful Three Mile Lake. The hosts have outdone themselves with this spacious and beautiful rental property and we cannot wait to book our next getaway!
