Very private quite location. This cottage is perfect for smaller families with a limit of 6 people (4 adult max). Set on beautiful Round Lake in the Kawarthas, this cottage is less than a 2-hour drive from the GTA. Clear water lake approximately 2km by 2km with accessible rivers and bays to explore and fish. This traditional family cottage will let you connect back with nature and unplug. This is a very quiet cottage with a neighbour on only one side, at the end of the cottage road with no vehicle traffic. Enjoy roasting marshmallows on the outdoor fireplace, great swimming and boating. The shoreline boasts a sand rock bottom with a shallow play area yet deep enough to dive off the end of the dock. Great sitting area at dockside. Two docks allow for ample room to park watercraft you may be bringing. With a boat launch 1 minute away, you could easily have transportation on the lake. Round Lake is famous for its excellent muskie, walleye and bass fishing for those anglers wishing to stay. Great fishing for kids with endless sunfish and great bass fishing right off the dock.Two kayaks, an aluminum fishing boat (no motor), and a canoe are included for families to use. Perfect for families with young children, the property has a swing set and basketball net available for play. The cottage also now has wifi. Large deck with barbecue and a beautiful outdoor eating area with direct access to the kitchen. The cottage boasts an open concept living area with a rustic feel, perfect for gathering around family board games, or a movie night. Enjoy the comfort of the screened in porch and listen to the calls of the loons. | My family had an amazing time at the Ontario Round Lake Retreat! The lake is calm, with a nice shallow end for the younger kids and a deep section off the doc for jumping and swimming. The lake front is extremely close to the cottage at the same level, which made heading out easy. There are also some neat islands that you can easily boat to with the two kayaks and canoe provided by the cottage. The cottage interior is cozy and rustic, and while it was a bit tight, even my large family (two parents and five children) was able to find enough room for sleeping. We appreciated the selection of games, as they kept us busy at bedtime! The patio was nice, and we ate all of our meals there. Firewood was readily available, and the firepit was more like an outdoor fireplace that even included a chimney, which made the process of making the fire and sitting around it quite easy. The owner was also very friendly and checked up on us a few times to make sure had everything we needed, and he quickly and gladly accommodated some specific requests that came up during our stay. Highly recommended!

| Very nice, well maintained cottage, with neighbors on one side only, has all you need for a relaxing stay. Fishing right off the dock or from the row boat provided, (canoe and kayaks too). Good shade trees help keep the place cool. Big deck with lots of seating and a table just a few feet away from the outdoor fireplace. Screened porch available if the bugs get bad. It's very close to the water and there aren't many steps to deal with. Large grassed yard area for kids and pets. Well worth the price, would do it again.

| We loved how peaceful and quiet the cottage was, the water was nice and close to the cottage and was perfect for swimming (no weeds) and great for fishing! The cottage was spacious with a large deck that was fabulous for sitting out and reading a good book or grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning while listening to the loons! After a busy day, falling asleep in the comfy beds was easy! We visited the nearby town of Havelock for groceries and a delicious treat at their local bakery. Even our two teens had a fantastic time and there was always something for them to do from the kayaking, to swimming, and fishing off the dock. Highly recommend staying at this cottage if you're in need of some R&R but not quite ready to leave all the comforts of home!! This place has it all!

| We just returned from a week at this cottage and loved every second of our stay. The cottage is cozy and has everything we needed. The views are beautiful and the lake is quiet and so relaxing. We spent our days fishing, swimming, canoeing and had a campfire most evenings. The cottage is steps away from the water and we enjoyed both the dock and the large deck. They have a top notch BBQ and we ate dinner on the deck every night. The screened in porch area is also great to have. Havelock is close by which was very handy and convenient. Percy was welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. We're hoping to return to this little gem again next summer. Thanks for a great week!

| This cottage is a home away from home. We have visited for two consecutive years and will continue to come. The view is incredible, only a few steps to the waters edge and we could really unwind here. To top off the great week, we also had private swimming lessons! Katelyn came every day for half hour and taught each of my girls - how convenient! She was so professional and patient and my girls learned so much in one week. I highly recommend her .
