Located in North Frontenac County, Norcan Lake boasts some of the best fishing in southern Ontario! At 8km long and relatively shallow with the maximum depth reaching 15', the lake is part of the Madawaska River drainage system providing a habitat that favours largemouth bass and northern pike. In addition, walleye spawn below the sluice gate of the Mountain Chute Dam, a sanctuary area for a period of time in the spring. Other major lake species include rock bass, smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed and yellow perch.
With some of the best all-season recreational trails in the Ottawa Valley steps away, and the unbeatable views of hikers' popular choice Eagle's Nest, Calabogie Peaks, Calabogie Highlands Resort & Golf Club, and Calabogie Motorsports less than a 15 minute drive from the lodge, adrenaline junkies and adventurists alike will never run out of things to do while visiting the area.
