Our Greenwood Getaway offers you a relaxing sanctuary on Upper Buckhorn Lake in the heart of Kawarthas. We're a short (8 minute) drive to all amenities (the locks, Foodland grocery store, LCBO, ice cream shop, waterfront restaurants and shops) in Buckhorn. This bright 3-bedroom (#1 king, #2 queen, #3 twin bunk bed) cottage includes a well-equipped kitchen, a 4-piece bathroom with tub and shower, 2-piece bath, dining area and lower living room area providing gorgeous views of the lake. A separate bunkie includes 3 twin beds (2 on the main floor and 1 in the loft). Link to our Bell Fibe 25 wifi to stay connected, or watch shows on our Smart TV (Bell TV included) or connect to your own streaming services. Our 83-foot shoreline includes a private double covered dock and small sandy beach with a walk-in swim area. The property is large, flat and grassy - great for kids to run around and offers beautiful open lake views. Enjoy evenings warming up around our outdoor campfire as you take in the gorgeous sunsets across the lake. Upper Buckhorn Lake provides access to Lower Buckhorn, Pigeon, and Chemong Lakes without any locks, offering great opportunities for boating, paddling, fishing, sightseeing, and other water activities. Nearby towns are Lakefield, Bobcaygeon (15 minutes) and Peterborough (30 minutes).
