We had a great week at the cottage with our dog this summer. The location was ideal—just 30 minutes to Tobermory and Lion's Head—and we especially enjoyed the sunsets from the boardwalk by the lake. It's a rocky shoreline, but beautiful and peaceful, and we found water shoes very helpful. We also visited Black Creek Provincial Park a couple of times for a sandy beach, which was a nice bonus.

The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, though there were quite a few spider webs around the ceiling and fan. One thing we didn't love was having to make the beds upon arrival—it would feel more welcoming if they were ready ahead of time. The queen beds weren't very comfortable, so we were glad we brought a foam pad after seeing that tip in another review. The smaller bedroom also has the bed on the floor, with a loose headboard, which made it tricky to make the bed and was a bit dusty behind.

The hot tub was a nice feature for watching the stars at night, although when we arrived it was slimy and the water cloudy. The driveway is also tight if you have a truck—backing in is the best option since there isn't room to turn around.

Overall, this cottage made a good base for exploring the area, with some really beautiful views and a peaceful setting. A few small improvements around comfort and upkeep would make it an even better stay.

What a wonderful place for a vacation!
The cottage is beautiful! Very clean, lots of space, with lots of comfortable seating and 2 bathrooms is handy.
The view is nice and the rocky waterfront really shows off the vastness and clear water of Lake Huron!
Big dining table for meals together or game nights. Kitchen has everything you need. Back deck is a wonderful spot. The bunnies that visited the yard were claimed and named by my kids (they loved seeing them every morning and evening), as well as some humming birds.
The high ceiling, sky lights, and ary in the kitchen/living space really added a great touch.
A fantastic home base for exploring the Bruce Peninsula! Thank you to the hosts!

Beautiful property right on the water. We stayed for 2 nights with the kids and we all had a great time. The cottage has everything you need, it feels like you're staying with family. Highly recommended! Thanks again Marya

It was such an amazing experience for me and my girlfriend. Owners are so helpful and they prepared the cottage perfect. I am pretty sure they will get more and more visitors. Book a time and enjoy.

I brought my mom here for her birthday. We both enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly and responsive with any questions I had. The cottage itself is in a quiet, secluded area. Plenty to do in the area as well, such as hiking the Bruce Trail and visiting Flowerpot Island. The cottage is larger than it appears in the photos. It is clean and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Loved the skylights in the kitchen and bathroom! Lots of natural light. We enjoyed watching the waves and wildlife from the living room as well as the dock. We liked the rocky beach, it was very scenic. The hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking. Bummer we were not able to have a campfire due to the fire ban. Would love to return in the future!
