| What a terrific 2-weeks! The first two weeks of September are our go-to vacation period. Fewer people, fewer bugs, and fresher temperatures. The lake was quiet, as expected. The fishing was fun, and we caught walleye, bass, perch, pike, and catfish. While not an issue for us, something to be aware of is that the cottage's elevated location means access to the lake and dock would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. There are two routes - each with lots of stairs (roughly 50) and one with the last section over tricky, rocky ground. My smart watch congratulated me regularly for making the commute, lol. Unusually breezy and cool weather during parts of the first week was not a problem as the cottage has a huge smart TV so we could cozy up and stream whatever struck our fancy. But when the summer temperatures returned, the A/C kept us cool. The fully equipped kitchen made mealtime a breeze. Ample outside deckspace and the screened gazebo were great spots to relax. The cottage is simply but beautifully decorated and (hugely important to us) was clean. The bed was super comfy and between the great mattress, the days spent on the lake, and the fresh, quiet nights, we slept great. Although there are neighbours in close proximity, the cottage is nonetheless very private. Mark was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process?.from booking to our actual stay. Definitely somewhere we'd return to.

| Our family recently spent a week at Maclean's Paradise. It couldn't be more aptly named. Upon arrival we were in awe of the surroundings - tall firs and oaks spread around the property and framing the cottage. The lake was seen shimmering and inviting one to come down to the dock. The cottage itself has everything one could want or need, beautifully laid out and all topped off by views from every window. Mark was a thoughtful, responsive host and his care of the cottage is evident in every aspect. Do not hesitate to consider this venue for your next get away.

| 5 stars for sure. My wife and two children had a wonderful week here in March 2024 to ski for the week. Cottage was exactly as shown, well appointed, and perfectly clean. The owners were wonderfully responsive and always helpful. We can't wait to make another trip back. Thanks so much!

| We had a lovely family holiday season get away. Mark was an excellent host! The cottage is spotless, spacious and had absolutely everything we needed. Even though the weather did not cooperate during our stay (it was foggy and rained the entire time), there were hiking trails close by we made good use of and the cottage is so comfortable, we did not get under each others skin for the extra time we spent indoors. We highly recommend this cottage as an all season escape!
