** 7 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY DURING SUMMER PEAK SEASON / 2 NIGHT MINIMUM DURING FALL, WINTER & SPRING.
This 3-bedroom, 2 bath executive (bungalow) waterfront cottage on Big Bald Lake has much to offer and is just 2 hours from Greater Toronto Area. The fully equipped kitchen, sitting, and dining area are all open concept with breathtaking views of lake with an adjacent family room in which you can nestle around a wood burning fireplace. There is also a dual sided gas fired fireplace separating two sitting areas which are perfect for entertainment or spending time with the family and friends. As you walk out of the patio door from the kitchen, you will be met with serene view of the 125 feet private frontage of the lake (Eastern exposure) while standing on an extensive wraparound cedar deck with a 12x14 ft gazebo with metal roof for outdoor dining (with mosquito netting for late nights) and cozy sitting area if you want to catch some sun.
The Cottage has 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms all at the ground floor - one large master bedroom with king size bed, his/her walk-in closets, and an ensuite bathroom, a bedroom with a murphy queen size bed (that can convert into a desk), and a kid's room with two twin bunk beds adjacent to the shared bathroom. You can walk out of the master bedroom into another covered deck area which has an outdoor table tennis and landscaped garden area. The cross-sectional couch in the family room easily converts into a comfortable double bed for sleeping or just chilling and watching TV / Netflix when it rains outside, or better yet, some board games with the family (some are stored in the family room coffee table and plenty of vintage classic books to read). There is also an outdoor ping pong table in covered area for some family competition.
There is a large dock connected to a floating dock with another sitting area and parking of boats or canoes. Right off the floating dock, the water is about 6 feet deep which is ideal for swimming and you can walk (carefully) through large rocks forming the Canadian shield for a swim. The Big Bald Lake is connected to the Trent-Severn water system and you have boating access to five other Trent lakes without the need of going thru the locks. Marina and boat launch are not far away, but can enjoy the lake at slower pace with the two canoes and one pedal boat at the cottage (with provided safety kits and adult life jackets).
Rental doesn't include linens, sheets, towels or pillow covers. Pillows and blankets are included.

| We had a great time at your lake house, We are very particular about cleanliness and found the house exceptionally clean which is very much appreciated. Everything we needed for the kitchen were high end and available. The sunrise and sunsets over the quiet lake were beautiful. Weather was too cold for swimming but the lake was beautifully clear and inviting. The chipmunks were a treat watching them, as well as the chickadees, nuthatches, blue jays and the raccoons on the there odd night adventure. The location is close enough to Buckhorn for any groceries needed as well as very close to Kawartha Wines for a needed bottle of wine or cider. Kul was readily available for a minor concern which was appreciated. Overall, a tremendous, quiet, beautiful stay at a beautiful warm outstanding lake house. Thank you Dave & Betty Culgin

| Recently returned from a 6 day vacation at this cottage on Big Bald Lake. The cottage was very well equipped. Pretty well everything we needed was there. We had our young grandchildren up for the 6 days and they had a great time. Swimming off the dock, lots of fishing off the dock, campfires, boating, tubing etc. The owners provided all kinds of watercraft, from paddle boats to canoes and kayaks. The view from the cottage was amazing. There was just as much to do inside on those nasty days as there was outside. From table tennis to board games, it was all there. Internet was high speed with a great entertainment centre. Communicating with the owner was always easy. We were provided with an info package that covered everything. Very thorough. We felt at home from the moment we entered the cottage. Very relaxing, quiet area. Would definitely return next year for another holiday.

| To sum it up, it was our 1st time at the M House, it's awesome, Kul, the owner is awesome, and we plan on returning next year if possible. Our family of 4 adults and 2 children stayed for a week in August 2023. The M House is as advertised, and our stay was fantastic. We thoroughly loved it. The home is very comfortable, quiet, clean, and very well equipped. Swimming off the dock was deep, clean and the waterfront is beautiful. We loved the gazebo with screen curtains and that's where we dined most of the time, even after dusk. For rainy days there is access to media apps on a massive flat screen LCD TV! I don't know how big, but it looked 100 inches. We also enjoyed the dock area with the red muskoka chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a combination conventional and Keurig coffee machine. We like the Keurig for the convenience of a quick fix morning coffee. The dock is adequate for a 20/22-foot boat. The surrounding water are calm and great for canoeing and Kayaking. Within a 15/20-minute southeast paddle ride from the house there is a nice 24-foot cliff to dive from. Another entertaining highlight was the use of the 4,000 Volt Zap It, rechargeable Electric Fly/Mosquito Zapper. We fried a lot of mosquitos with that thing, especially around the bon fire at dark! The other bonus is that the owner, Kul was great guy to deal with. He also allows review postings on Cottages in Canada which speaks volumes. Not all listers allow that.

Owner response: Thanks Les for the candid and fulsome review. The outdoor dining space is also our favourite place to gather and relax. So glad that you were able to use the zapper! Have a great summer and look forward to hosting your family again. | |

| We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to the cottage! It is located on a quiet part of the lake, and we spent many hours on the dock. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay and the pride of home ownership is evident. We loved the uninterrupted views of the lake while preparing our meals. The outdoor dining area has a screen option, so eating outside after dusk isn't a problem at all. Kul, the owner, is a highly effective communicator and is very prompt at responding to emails. We definitely hope to be back next summer!
