We had a great time at the cottage. There's so much to do, hiking, kayaking, sitting by the fire and so much more and it's not far from Riding Mountain National Park. Everything you need is in the cottage, the only thing you need to bring is food and drinks. We hope to go back next summer. The owners are great and were very helpful when needed

Thanks so much - and glad to hear you enjoyed your time. Your family (including your fur babies) are welcome back any time!

We were looking for some place quiet and relaxed. It's exactly what we found. Very beautiful sunsets, sitting around the wood stove on cool mornings and the lovely pine interior of the cottage were highlights. Far enough in the country to be truly dark. So quiet at night the only sounds were the wind in the trees and on the lake, broken sometimes by the call of a loon. That more than made up for the mosquitos (quite bad this year) and the unfortunate algae bloom on the lake. We did get out for some enjoyable canoe rides. But most of all, we just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Vonda and Don were friendly and helpful. A great place to truly get away for a while.

Thanks Bert - so glad you enjoyed your stay! It was a pleasure meeting you both and we hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back again in the future.

Splendid! We loved our stay at the Kerrs Lake cottage. Vonda and Don went above and beyond to ensure our family had a comfortable stay. The best location for peace and quiet, total relaxation. We could kayak and canoe, rain or shine, it never got old! The trails were gorgeous but mosquitoes were pretty active - bug spray helps a lot. The fire pit was the perfect place to close out the day, watching the famous sunset.

Inside the children had an array of DVD movies and classic board games to choose from, they always had something to do. The high speed WIFI worked seamlessly, exactly what we needed to stay in touch with the outside world and deal with the occasional work matters. The cottage is equipped with all necessities, including DIY fire starters that worked like a charm!

The wildlife is spectacular! The birds are always chirping, the pelicans are out on the lake, and we even had a friendly black bear come by.

A much needed change from the city landscape. Definitely recommend! Would love to come again!

Albina, your family was an absolute pleasure to host! So rewarding to see others enjoy the property as much as we do. Sincerely hope we see you all out here again in the future!

Wonderful cottage, we have no complaints. Our hosts were very accommodating and the cottage had everything we needed. The mosquitos were bad so we only walked the trails once, but even biking the back roads nearby was beautiful. Great, quiet lake for canoeing and pretty views. I loved watching all the birds on the lake. It was just the seclusion and nature we were hoping for. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone!

Thanks, Nicole. I'm o glad it met your needs. You were great guests - prompt in communications and meticulous in caring for the place - I hope we see you back here in the future!

Our time at the cabin was wonderful. Vonda and Don prepared a fire so it was warm and cozy when we arrived. Being away from 'civilization' was a blessing. No irritating cell phone calls, no traffic noise. Just the sound of waves on the lake and the local birds.

Poor weather kept us close to the cabin for the first few days. Even on the gloomy days, we spent time in the spacious porch, enjoying the fresh air and view of the lake. But when the sun emerged so did we. Walking the blue trail (one of three on the property) on a sunny afternoon was refreshing. A mix of forest, fields and a few creeks.

The cabin had all the modern conveniences we needed. A canoe and life jackets were available, but unnecessary as we brought our own. Paddling on the lake was a highlight, even if I couldn't find the fish.

Our hosts were fantastic. They accommodated our every need and were quick to reply to any questions we had.

I heartily recommend this cabin to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
