| We were delighted to arrive at this cottage, finding it to be exactly as described on the website, immaculately clean, and really well-appointed. The beds were very comfortable, linens top quality, and every kitchen appliance and tool was top notch. We have rented many cottages across the country. The attention to detail, care in construction and choices in durable finishes was evident in this beautiful home. It will stand the test of time. We thoroughly enjoyed the interior during the rainy days, the peaceful lake for swimming and paddling, and the nearby park for some gorgeous hikes.
Despite being quite close to highway 60, the narrowing of the lake and the forest between the house and the highway keeps it extremely quiet. We did not notice sounds from the road at all, and lay out on the dock watching the meteor shower one night, in complete darkness and quiet.
Janet and Peter were very responsive to questions, before and during our stay. They are attentive hosts, who have clearly put a lot of thought into this rental home. We hope to come back again, at any time of year. Winter here would be perfect, too, as it is close to several excellent cross-country skiing trails.

| 2024 marked our 3rd summer at Reflections on Oxtongue Lake! There's lots to do and plenty of space (inside and out) for our multi-generational family to spread out - even when "alone time" is required! The cottage is spotless and super-organized with a beautifully maintained exterior. We love to cook and appreciate the extremely well-equipped kitchen (complete with some of the staples you're bound to forget). It's too difficult to choose what we love best; canoeing up to the falls, kayaking to the end of the lake, paddle-boarding around the bay, jumping off the dock, hiking in the park, and enjoying the evening around the firepit. Also very convenient to have the Algonquin Outfitters shop close by, complete with a pop-up cappuccino truck. Peter and Janet are terrific hosts, and we greatly appreciate the time and care they put into this lovely cottage!

| We were 9 girlfriends on a 'Winter Getaway'. We arrived on a snowy day and found to our delight the granite stairs, front porch and driveway were beautifully cleared off making a winter entry so easy. Once inside the stunning log cottage we all took in the breathtaking winter scenery of the snow covered rock and tree vista across the lake which is stunning and truly photo worthy. The fireplace in the open dining-kitchen area is the hub of the cottage with ample wood and kindling provided. Each bedroom offers comfort and style from the red and white Canadian Maple Leaf room to the iconic Hudson Bay with green, red, yellow, and indigo blanket and decor including Hudson Bay canoe paddles above the bed. All the beds are queen with a king in the principal bedroom. The bedding is pristine white and has extra throw blankets if you like to snuggle and read. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes, glassware, and small appliances. A roomy fridge in the kitchen with a second fridge downstairs to hold extra food. We enjoyed lively card games on the large harvest table. The living room with two sofas and leather wingback chairs was a perfect room for relaxing tea and conversation. The black and white art deco upstairs bathroom boasts a roomy shower and instant heat. Some of us took winter walks while others stayed cozy inside working on one of the many puzzles provided. We ALL had a wonderful winter getaway at Reflections on Oxtongue.

| My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Refelctions On Oxtongue cottage in October. The front porch was bursting with white and orange pumpkins, fall mums, purple and white ornamental kale ?what a way to say, 'welcome'! The fall colours were magnificent everywhere we looked. Looking out the back of this log cottage we saw the lake that looks directly at a rock wall covered with lush autumn foliage full of colour. A stunning view. We built a fire in fireplace making the open kitchen-dining room cozy and ready for the pre made dinner we brought in for our first night. We finished with coffee from the espresso machine in front of a zippy fire. We made breakfast in a well equipped kitchen, enjoyed a crisp walk then a mini competition of table shuffleboard in the Muskoka room. Any age would enjoy playing on the shuffleboard table. We had everything we needed to make a delicious anniversary dinner from apps to carrot cake eaten in front of a crackling fire and candlelight. Walks, books, games, delicious food and some great rest in a stunning log cottage was quintessential for a memorable anniversary at Reflections On Oxtongue.
