Absolutely amazing, great for large families, couples retreat or small offsite. All the amenities you could imagine. Kayaks, canoe, fire pit area, outside dining, dock, lily pad, on quiet Oxtongue Lake. Muskoka Room was favourite for the view, the fresh air and view. Luxury week we hope to repeat! Slice of heaven.

So glad you enjoyed Reflections on Oxtongue with your family.
We hope to have you return next year, making many more memories.
Regards,
Janet & Peter

We loved our week at Reflections on Oxtongue! Beautiful paddling, swimming, hiking and more. The cottage is spectacular, with every amenity you could require. From evenings by the firepit, to days on the dock, we had an active and relaxing time. The quiet bay felt like our own private lake, and the view of the cliff from the cottage was breathtaking. We paddled to Ragged Falls, played tennis at the Blue Spruce, golfed at Deerhurst, and hiked on multiple trails in Algonquin Park. The cottage is lovely, with a fully-stocked kitchen (all kitchen tools/appliances/dishware that you'd need), beautiful bedrooms and linens, and even the beach towels are supplied. We would love to return!

Judy,
Thank you for your review.
We are so glad that your vacation was memorable and hope to have you back again.
Regards,
Janet & Peter

After a year of lockdown our family was ready for the lake. It was my first cottage rental but from my first interaction with Janet is was obvious this was going to be a wonderful experience.
The setting is spectacular located on a small sheltered bay with limited traffic; its safe for the kids to take the paddle boat on their own or to figure out the J-stroke in a canoe. There a little island in the bay which to a 9 year old boy "obviously" contained buried pirate treasure.. the kids could explore and if the kids were not in a kayak/canoe/paddleboat (courtesy of Janet and Peter) they were on the Lily Pad anchored off the dock. The cottage has a well appointed kitchen, all we brought were books to read on the hammock, food and wine. Evenings are best enjoyed watching the sun set on the cliffs opposite the cottage with a Gin & Tonic. My wife who is a new Canadian and a city girl with the shoes to prove it learned to build a campfire and make the most Canadian of desserts..."sahh-more-EZZ" .....not as good as Tiramisu but in her top 50 desserts. Playing board games in the Muskoka room was one of our favorite memories of the summer even though I lost every damned game. The cottage is well loved and it shows. Janet and Peter are good people and really created something magical with this property. Wonderful Memories.

Thank you Perry,
We are so pleased that your family had such a great vacation full of memories.
We have tried to make it a paradise for our customers, so that they relax and enjoy everything our beautiful northern country has to offer.
Hope to see you again.

This one is a true gem! We have been visiting and vacation in the Muskoka/ Halliburton area for over 40 years and our stay at Reflections on Oxtongue was by far one of the best!!! This cottage is absolutely perfect and accommodates a large crowd, if required. We loved its location and felt like we were in our own private bay to enjoy daily. We swam, canoed, used the paddle boat, and went for a kayaks every day. Our kids and their cousins spent hours playing on the lily pad too! The cottage is fully stocked as if you were at home - they have thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need and more.
All the games in the Muskoka room were a huge hit with our kids on our rainy day.
So many great memories made here. Definitely going to secure this one again in 2022!!!
