Some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see. This one acre private lakefront property is kid friendly with a sandy gradual entry into a clean lake, weed free lake. Lake is not very large so it warms up very quickly into the the summer season and also freezes over quickly for beautiful winter walks. The House is a 4 bedroom 2 washroom home. One main bedroom is on the main floor, for anyone with mobility issues and two additional bedrooms are on the second level. Forest surroundings and fire pit makes for amazing nights by the fire. | Our stay at the Retreat at Bird Lake was like paradise. This fully stocked cottage had everything we needed and more. It was super spacious and comfortable. The outdoors is fabulous. A lot of flat area for playing and a lovely campfire area. By the water there is little beach for the little ones to wade in. The dock is a great composite material and there were no worries about slivers for the wee ones. We caught so many fish right off the dock - big, small and everything in-between. The boats are great and it was fun to explore the lake. Most importantly to me, it was super quiet. I could barely hear any other human noise for the entire week! The water is not deep at all off the dock (adults can stand) and there are a few big rocks right there but there is a raft that is close so you can jump in to deeper water there. Julia was so helpful and prompt when I had questions. We will definitely book again. I can't wait to go back!

| Our family enjoyed the Thanksgiving weekend at the Retreat at Bird Lake. The Bird lake view was spectacular with the fall colour. The lake is so calm with the mirror-like reflection of the fall trees' colour, it was absolutely breathtaking. Even though the weather is a bit chilly, we were able to do some canoeing, stargazing, sitting around a campfire and sipping a cup of hot cocoa for a night, so much fun.
The cottage is very clean, comfortable, modern and well equipped with anything you can think of: great indoor entertainment with games/TV/Bluray, a fully stocked kitchen, cozy/clean bedrooms and linens, kayaks and canoe, BBQ, fire pit, and well lighting in the backyard.
Julia is so helpful and responds promptly to all questions I have. Thank you for letting us stay at your place. We'll certainly be back again to this paradise.
