Excellent accommodation and location.
So close to the GTA but so farway in spirit. We had a relaxing 2 senior couples getaway and found everything exceeded expectations from the cleanliness to the extra touches in the kitchen. Everything thought of for you so all you had to think about were groceries and libations. You have created a restful and luxurious retreat. We'll be back next year.

6 of us and our 2 dogs stayed here for the weekend - it was wonderful! The pictures did not do the place justice, it's a very large cottage and is absolutely beautiful! So much space for the dogs to run around and for us to play lawn games in the front. Everything you need is there and the dock and water were lovely as well as the owners were very responsive and helpful! it was a lovely weekend getaway and we would definitely recommend :)

Our family of 6 adults and one dog really enjoyed our week at River Daze. Owners are easy to contact and communicate with. Lot is great for lawn games, and dogs or kids to play. Inside is very comfortable and well equipped. Lots of dishes, cutlery pots and pans etc. There is a lot of stuff growing just out from the shore, but you can still swim, or great for just floating around. We enjoyed watching the boats cruising by....and yes some are a bit load. Recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. Pleasant venue. Some recommendations for future tenants:

At night, close all the sliding windowpanes when the lights are on. We found a lot of bugs get through the fly screens somehow.

The river is busy on weekends, being a major thoroughfare between Peterborough and Rice Lake and more. On sunny days the soundtrack here is the internal combustion engine, and the dock is a floating one so it feels every wake. Sometimes it was hard to just sit quietly. On weekdays it was fine because very few people jet-ski or waterski etc. then.

The bathroom is large and modern, but the shower is compact making it tight for anyone over 6 feet.

The water is non-potable. This is described in the owner's manual but would have been nice to know from online cottage description.

Apart from this we enjoyed our stay and were grateful for the opportunity.

Living in luxury! Clean and spotless, this place was absolutey lovely. We slept in the king bed which was super comfy with high quality bedding. The other two rooms were equally well appointed. The kitchen is ultra modern with easy access to the BBQ. Gorgeous washroom (so much more than your avg cottage!) with a large, modern shower. HUGE leather sofa (and TV) makes the living room a comfortable family friendly place to lounge around in for morning coffee and evening movies. But best of all is the view. Sun drenched views to the water from all principle rooms gave us both quiet mornings and perfect sunsets. But it was breezy enough to stay cool when indoors.
The cottage is set back from the waterfront/dock providing a beautiful open green space for the kids/pets to play in. Don't miss out on waving to the occasional fisherman lazily drifting by as you sway in the hammock:). The property is perfectly located, just 20mins to P-boro for basic needs, but isolated from any evidence of civilization. Quiet, restfull, peacful days and nights. I can't recommend this enough and can't wait to go back.
