| We have rented several cottages and this is the best waterfront property we have stayed at. First of all the property is large, fairly flat and has lots of shade. It's on a quiet lake with easy entry and exit into the lake from a large dock. There is a fire pit, a large gazebo, and even an outdoor shower and hot tub. The cottage is well-maintained and equipped. It had a full bathroom and even laundry machines! Also, it was only 10 minutes from Minden and 5 minutes from beautiful Rapids. Gen was always available and checked in with us to make sure we were okay. If you love the outdoors you won't find many cottages like this one.

| Our family had a great time and enjoyed every bit at the Cozy Weekenders cottage. Lots of activities to do, we enjoyed swimming in the clean shallow waterfront, canoeing, kayaking on the huge lake, admiring nature(birds and animals), kids had a blast paddle boarding, zip lining, floating on the floating mat, relaxing on the huge party island float. We rented the fishing boat, fishing was excellent (we caught northern pike, small mouth bass). After an adventurous day, we barbequed and enjoyed games on the large levelled lawn and star gazed around the fire pit. We absolutely loved the large deck, dock, stunning lake views, sunrises, the Bunkie was very cozy and the Hot tub was perfect to end the day. The Hot tub has spa therapy and is well maintained.
Gen is an amazing host, shared a detailed list of things available and restaurants to enjoy. She was quick to respond to all our questions. We have booked the cottage to enjoy the fall views. Nothing short of a 5 star experience! The cottage has it all.

| We had a fantastic stay at Gens Cottage. The lake views were truly breathtaking. We rented the fishing boat and enjoyed our time fishing on the lake. To our surprise we caught a northern pike by the dock. The lakefront has clean water with a shallow entry. The size of the lake is huge for a great boat ride. Nature around the cottage and lake is amazing ,we admired all the birds and loons were our favourite. Night star gazing was awesome with the firepit to keep us warm. Cottage had great working appliances with cozy beds. Our family enjoyed every moment and will return in the fall to enjoy the fall foliage colors. Gen provided us with all the info and the surroundings restaurant which made it easy to plan our trip. Highly recommend to family and friends.

| We rented this cottage for 2 weeks in August. The cottage was just what we were looking for for five adults (two being teenagers). The cottage was cozy, clean and well taken care of. The access to the lovely little beach was ideal as there were few steps to the water for one elderly rentee. Overall, we highly recommend this cottage. The only criticism would be little things like a toaster that was awkward to use. The cottage should have been supplied with adequate bottled water for the two week stay.

Owner response: Thanks for sharing your experience at our cottage. Glad to hear that it was what you were looking for. Sorry to hear about the toaster, we have replaced it with a new toaster now. The water is tested and safe to drink , we suggest guests to bring their own drinking water if they have allergies and stomach sensitiveness. I wish you would have communicated it to us while your stay, when I was checking in to see if you needed anything. Cheers Gen | |
