This sun drenched, classic cottage is situated on the narrows of scenic Whitestone Lake and is within walking distance to all of the amenities and activities available in the village of Dunchurch, including a public boat launch, convenience store, public beach and library. This comfortable and centrally located cottage on the main street of Dunchurch, the two-lane Highway 124, allows guests to enjoy the varied activities, year round, in the Almaguin Highlands District. Dun Roamin' offers a bright, open dining area adjacent to a spacious and relaxing living room perfect for gathering at the end of the day. The roomy dining area seats six and opens out on to a waterfront facing, all day sun, wrap around deck complete with outdoor dining and a BBQ. The living room has seating for 6, a flat screen TV, DVD, VCR and WiFi. The well-equipped kitchen comes complete with dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave and additional table seating for four. Newly installed central air conditioning will keep you cool on hot days! This pet friendly cottage has three main floor bedrooms with ample room to sleep six guests. Two bedrooms have double beds and closets, the third bedroom has a queen bed and closet. Also on the main floor is a 4-piece bathroom that includes a shower and tub combo. Downstairs there is a newly renovated recreation room that includes sofa, a flat screen TV, DVD, Bell Satellite, Xbox, a selection of DVD's and board games. Also on the lower level is a games room, complete with foosball, darts and an air hockey table; perfect for kids, big and small, to fill the hours in the event of a rainy day.
The large yard, adjacent to the narrows, is located across a dead end and quiet cottage road, and is ideal for kids with plenty of space for a game of catch or kicking around a soccer ball. The 20ft dock offers an excellent place to swim or sunbathe and can dock a 15 ft boat. This cottage comes complete with four inflatable kayaks, and two paddle boats to make sure no one will be short of fun. Another option for swimmers is the public beach only a short walk away. The firepit by the shore is great for roasting marshmallows, sing alongs and creating fond cottage memories.
Dun Roamin' is ideally situated for fishing and boating with a boat launch and marina just minutes away. Throughout the winter, this is an ideal location for ice fishing and snowmobiling with loads of parking space and groomed trails nearby. Dunchurch boasts many amenities for your convenience including a library, community centre, general store with gas bar, restaurants and a medical care facility. Larger city amenities are available in Parry Sound, just 30 minutes away.
