Welcome to Bonnie Stroma Cottage: this beautiful 3-bedroom cottage sits on 132 ft of private waterfront on a one acre wooded lot. Located on Big Clear Lake in Arden, Ontario, just off Highway 7, it is only 1.5 hours from Ottawa and 2 hours from Oshawa.
NOTE: Bonnie Stroma is only rented for 2 weeks in the summer. Preference is given to renters who wish to book the full two weeks themselves.
Big Clear Lake is spring-fed with a sand and rocky bottom, some of the clearest waters around, with great fishing, including large & small mouth bass, walleye, perch, sunfish and Northern Pike. Water shoes are recommended for swimming.
Water is from a drilled well. Although tested yearly, guests may wish to bring bottled water as well. Linens and towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels.
We provide 2 kayaks and a canoe for our guests; Our 26 ft dock allows guests to bring their boat with a depth of 4 to 5 ft ar the end, depending on the time of year. This location offers great swimming and fishing right from the dock!
Sleep comfortably in the summer as there is central air. Our guests have access to unlimited WiFi, washer and dryer, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave and propane BBQ. Board games are available for late nights and rainy days.
With a set of stairs leading to the lake, the cottage may not be suitable for younger children.
If you are looking for a place to party, this is NOT the place for you. The neighbouring cottagers' right to enjoy their private sanctuary is our prime concern.
