Enjoy a stay with family or friends at our Bluebird Cottage on the Lake! We are located in Ramara Township just 5 minutes away from Casino Rama. Our four season waterfront cottage is on Lake St. John which is every Fishermans dream with 11 different types of fish to catch! Evenings can be spent around our large firepit with armour stone seating watching the sunset. The property is beautiful inside and out and is an ideal getaway destination to have fun and make many memories! The cottage is beautifully designed with hardwood floors throughout and large windows to enjoy the view of the lake. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room, a laundry room with a washer & dryer, and A/ C. We have fast and reliable Bell wifi if you choose to work at the cottage during your stay. There is also a work station in one of the bedrooms. We have a 65" Smart TV which has Netflix, Disney+, Cable, Pac-Man game.
In the main room there is a spacious play area designated for children with lots of toys, books, and puzzles. There are outdoor toys for the children as well and a public use swing set located across the street.
During the Winter our lake is popular for ice fishing and ice skating. Our large property is a great place for everyone to have fun in the snow! There are also snowmobiling trails nearby (Ramara Trail, Orillia Trail, Uhthoff Trail).
With half an acre of flat land, it is ideal for activities such as volleyball or badminton. It is also great for those visiting with elderly family members as there are minimal stairs and peaks on the property.
We have a private boat ramp.
Our large firepit and beachfront is bordered with armour stone. We have a wide sandy beach area and shallow entry into the lake.
The large deck is perfect for sunbathing or watching the seaplanes land in the water.
We have a paddleboat, kayak, and canoe that are available for use. Adult life jackets are provided. Please bring lifejackets for children to ensure proper fitting.
Lake St. John
Lake St. John is known for its peaceful atmosphere, gorgeous sunsets and fishing, however, the lake can get weedy. It is fantastic for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, relaxing on floaties, etc. The beach area is cleaned between renters although there may be weeds that come to shore during your stay. We recommend that guests bring water shoes or crocs.
