The Location Beautiful privately owned, Cherry Pit Cottage in picturesque Cherry Valley within the heart of PEC, just 2hrs from Toronto and 2.5-4hrs from Ottawa/ Montreal. Located in a gated resort community directly on East Lake with many amenities for the perfect getaway.
Enjoy everything Prince Edward County has to offer from our ideal location. Only minutes from Sandbanks, one of the best beaches in Ontario with its sandy beaches, shallow waters, and sand dunes. Also, only 10-15-minute drive to the many antique and boutique shops, noteworthy restaurants, wineries, and micro-breweries of nearby small towns.

On the resort, you can sign out kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, fish and swim at the lake or enjoy walks and bike rides on the many nature trails. Resort amenities include a family pool, adult pool and hot tub, tennis courts, basketball courts, kids' playground, mini-putt and much more! even a complimentary pass to Sandbanks Beach (You will need to reserve your spot in advance of arrival for day use entry, can be booked up to 5 days in advance).

| Cherry Pit Cottage is a gem tucked away in Prince Edward County with everything you need to have a fantastic stay. Cradled in the heart of East Lake Shores, you have access to two pools, a tennis court, basketball court, putting green, private beach area with kayaks and canoes and a pavilion with table tennis, foosball and air hockey. There's also a hiking trail and numerous fire pits. There are daily activities organised for both children and adults.
When venturing outside the resort, you are minutes away from Outlet beach, in our opinion the best of Sandbanks' three world-class beaches. Also nearby is a small town with a grocer, and just a few minutes further will get you to Picton and its many shops and amenities.
The cottage itself is well equipped with everything you need. We lacked for nothing in terms of cooking utensils and cutlery. The shower and water systems work well, which is not always the case in cottages. Beds were very comfortable and Wifi reception excellent.
Cristina, the host, was wonderful and made sure she was accessible throughout our stay, providing helpful tips and guidance to maximize our experience. She made sure we always had our Sandbanks pass ready each day so we could enjoy the park without additional stress.
We've been visiting PEC annually for nearly 10 years, and our stay at Cherry Pit is definitely at the top of our list in terms of the best experiences so far! Thank you Cristina and all the hard working staff at East Lake Shores

| We decided to have our family summer getaway near Picton and was lucky enough to find Cherry Pit Cottage to rent. We could not ask for a better location for our vacation, the proximity to both Sandbanks and Picton was ideal, but the cottage and resort itself was the icing on the cake. The cottage and area are well maintained, with lots of activities for a family and we could not ask for a better place to spend our summer vacation.

| Cherry Pit cottage was a perfect spot for our girls get away. Very clean and beautifully decorated in an up scale east coast / Maine theme. Extremely well equipped with all the utensils, appliances and needs to relax and enjoy a home away from home. The resort was impressive with pool, private beach and water activities, etc. Call ahead to restaurants near by to ensure they are open. Christina was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. We will be back. Highly recommend.

| This is a beautiful cottage, and the amenities not only in the cottage but the entire facility were great, as there was something for everyone. It is centrally located near Sandbanks but close to Picton, Wellington and Bloomfield.
There is a full kitchen with a dishwasher and washer and dryer - my idea of camping. The cottage is beautifully decorated with a farmhouse look. The amenities at the resort are excellent. If you have kids or are just adults looking for a getaway, it is great.
The owner was great to deal with and was accessible if needed. I would highly recommend the cottage for anyone wanting to head to Prince Edward County.

| We had an excellent stay at The Cherry Pit cottage! The hosts were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations and tips on local area attractions and cottage amenities. The cottage was very clean, well kept, spacious and comfortable. We had stayed at a different cottage in East Lake Shores (ELS) in the past and feel that The Cherry Pit cottage furniture, amenities (such as appliances and supplies) made our stay at ELS much more comfortable and convenient than in the past. We took advantage of all the on site amenities the facility had to offer: tennis, kayaks, SUPs, mini golf, pool...campfires and beautiful sunsets by the lake. As well, the bonus beach passes provided by the host made our trips to nearby Sandbanks Provincial Park a breeze. We absolutely loved our time there even on rainy days!
