The Nest on Deer Lake

Welcome to our cozy cottage located on beautiful Deer lake.  As you drive through the wooded laneway you will find our family friendly cottage located directly at the waters edge.  The cottage has a huge deck with southern exposure providing you with great views and all day sun. The deck has a patio set for outdoor dining with seating up to 6.  Choose either the deck or dock for a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and take in the beautiful surroundings. The level lot makes accessing the water and sandy beach area extremely easy for adults and children alike.  Enjoy the water in the quiet bay or venture out to explore the lakes 19 kilometres of shoreline with the provided canoe, paddle boat, kayak, paddle board or 14ft aluminum row boat.  The lake offers excellent fishing with largemouth bass, small mouth bass, pike, and lake trout.  The public boat launch is located just down the road.  There is also plenty of room for parking your boat trailer at the cottage.  There is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows or making s'mores in the evening .  We are friends with our neighbours and want to keep it that way, so we ask no loud music and absolutely no parties.

About the space :
Built in 2006, the cottage is a very clean and well maintained space that sleeps up to 6 people. The pine interior gives you that classic cottage feel.  The master bedroom offers a queen size bed. There are two lofts on either side of the cottage.  Both lofts are really spacious with about 7 feet of headroom when standing in the middle.  The front loft contains two single beds and has a great view overlooking the lake and the back loft has a double bed. Both lofts are accessed by a ladder. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all dishes and appliances that you should require for your stay.  There is a bbq out on the deck that you are also welcome to use. The bathroom is a 3 piece with a stand up shower. The dining area has a drop leaf table that can easily be opened up to seat more people if needed.  The living room provides wonderful views of the property and a beautiful view of the lake.  There is satellite TV,  and a DVD player with a good selection of movies provided or feel free to bring your own favourites. We also have card and board games available for rainy days.
