Historic 1820 Log Cabin

Log House, Originally built in 1820, dismantled, rebuilt and relocated to Historic Queensborough in 2018. Nestled in a 3 acre mixed forest next door to the Circa 1840's Gristmill and Sawmill. Here, the Black River widens out into a mill pond. If you're a Kayak or Canoe enthusiast, the Black River is a challenging whitewater river in the Spring but a calm stream in the Summer. Although not a waterfront property, you can access the Black River via a 30 foot walk from the corner of our property on a public unopened road allowance. Take a day trip portaging up the many sets of rapids. If you're looking for a quiet, motorboat free waterway, you've found it here. Rental includes the use of our canoe and bicycles for touring the quiet country roads.

One window air conditioner is installed and we also installed passive ground source cooling and we designed the cabin to have very little solar heat coming from the south side. It will stay fairly cool in the summer provided windows and curtains are closed during the day and opened at night when the temperature drops.
