THE PROPERTY
Luxurious & Rustic boutique Cottage on Bitter Lake featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 new modern and stylish bathrooms. You will enjoy a wraparound deck looking out onto the lake and even your own lawn and flowering garden area. You'll have gorgeous views of Bitter Lake from the decks, dock, and even from the romantic bistro lit fire pit area.
TWO Kayaks and TWO Stand Up Paddle boards sit on the shore waiting to take you out on the lake for a memorable summertime adventure. Perfect cottage for small families or a romantic getaway.
This landscaped and stylish property emits a Hygge Beach House vibe. It sits on a large private wooded lot with a long driveway leading you into the parking area. It features a simple path across a large grass lawn with unique and beautiful granite rock formations to your right which leads you up to the cute little covered front porch where 2 chairs provide a shady spot to enjoy your morning coffee beside a huge granite flagstone patio. The lawn area is perfect for throwing a frisbee, playing lawn games, or even sneaking out with your mat for some early morning Yoga while taking in the soft sounds of the lake and nature around you waking up. In front of the house and to the left, a stone and simple wooden pathway winds its way down towards the waterfront. The cottage's spacious front deck overlooking the lake features an outdoor dining table for 6, propane BBQ and relaxing lounge chairs to sit on and enjoy noon-day snacks. On your way through the yard, you will pass a fire pit area with 4 white Muskoka chairs and romantic overhead bistro lighting that will call your name as the sun sets and the stars begin to appear. Straight ahead from the cottage, the peaceful view of Bitter Lake is framed by towering majestic pines and will have you pulling out your phone to capture the picture perfect scene. Numerous colourful Muskoka chairs await you to the side of the path and on the floating dock, providing relaxed seating to take in the views while enjoying your favourite beverage. For swimming you can choose to walk in slowly from the shore or to cannonball off the end of the dock. Bitter Lake offers great swimming conditions for all.

The bright kitchen is equipped with new appliances, dimmable industrial style chandelier, A fully stocked and stylish SPICE DRAWER that will provide for all your cooking needs, Cute separate Coffee station with Keurig, French Press, and drip coffee maker, and an island with seating for 3.

Open-concept dining room with seating for 6. TV Room is located off of the dining area. TV Room has a large corner wall mounted smart TV with lots of streaming options and sliding doors leading out to the front deck overlooking the lake and BBQ area. Two ROUND Nest loveseats allow you to settle in and unwind instantly. On the wall there is an ocean blue NEON sign gently urging you to 'Stay a While'. 10 minute drive to the Haliburton Forest Cookhouse, Wolf Centre, and Base Camp. Canopy tour of the forest, star gazing Observatory, and the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre with a wild pack of wolves you can see in secret from their hidden viewing platform and museum! There are wolf howls you can join on Thursday nights - call them to ask how to join one. Tip - the wolf puppies are super cute and the guide there will tell you about each pack member. Kids and animal lovers are obsessed.

| Laura was an exceptional host. Her response to our needs were immediate. The cottage was beautiful, spotless and had every amenity you would need. The fire pit in the evening with the lights, was stunning to see and the stairs at night, were clear and bright.

| This was my first cottage rental in almost ten years, a lot has changed-I spent a very long time looking for what would be the perfect get away for my husband and I. Laura and I had a lovely conversation over the phone prior to booking and that was it, I was sold-she was so warm and welcoming. Her property is absolutely breathtaking, everything was polished, extras included and had charming details including a little happy birthday note upon arrival. We spent a lot of time on the dock and in the lake which was perfect temperature everyday, we especially had fun on the paddle boards and kayaks. She had included tidbits in her email to us on fun things happening around town over the course of our stay that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. We had so much fun. I got very emotional when we were leaving because I really didn't want to leave. We communicated back and forth for most of our stay-she ensured we had the best time possible and listened to my shenanigans with interest. We so look forward to making this our yearly get away.

| This cottage is absolutely beautiful! The cottage interior is comfortable and cozy especially on a raining day with great views of the lake!! Laura, is a very attentive host, and is only a text away if you need something. The cottage is in a great location, and makes for a great family getaway. The cottage comes equipped with kayaks, paddle boards and fun boards games. Definitely would come back with friends and family. Thank you for a great stay :)
