KENNISIS LAKE AREA
Located only 2.5 hours from the GTA, Kennisis Lake offers a remote getaway! A 7 minute drive will bring you to the famous Haliburton Forest and Wildlife reserve - and the Wolf centre where you can visit their resident wolf pack! So many other activities also only minutes away.
THE PROPERTY
This casually landscaped and stylish property emits a rustic and relaxing cottage holiday feeling. It sits on a fenced and gated, large elevated private wooded lot with a short driveway leading you directly to the front door. Your walk to the water features a granite stepped winding path down the hill past a firepit patio with 6 bright red Muskoka chairs and romantic overhead bistro lighting. You will also pass by your own hammock village amongst the trees where two green and sea blue striped hammocks are waiting for you to arrive with your book in hand and a favorite beverage or even empty handed for a sunny afternoon nap,. Then you will take in the beautiful pink and grey granite rock outcrops to your right as you approach your huge private 120' waterfront area where you will find 6 sea blue oversized Muskoka chairs overlooking the lake on a huge sprawling deck under the trees. Also awaiting you is a dock boasting TWO Stand up Paddle Boards and TWO Kayaks mounted on either side. A canoe is also nestled away on a deck by the water for your enjoyment.
The cottage's TWO spacious wraparound decks overlooking the lake feature two white hanging macramé chairs for lounging, an outdoor dining table for 6, propane BBQ and relaxing lounger sofa to sit on and enjoy noon-day snacks while the endless panoramic and commanding view from the upper deck will have you pulling out your phone to capture this picture perfect scene.
For swimming you can choose to test your toes on the granite ledge shoreline (sometimes allows for a small shallow area to sit or wade depending on water levels) or to cannonball into the deep fresh water off the end of the dock. Little Kennisis Lake is deep and clear, it offers pristine swimming conditions.

The bright beautiful kitchen is on the second floor and is equipped with a dimmable industrial style chandelier to set the mood and under cupboard lighting, A fully stocked and stylish SPICE DRAWER that will provide for all your cooking needs, Cute Coffee station with Keurig, French Press, and drip coffee maker, and an island with seating for 2.

Walk out through the French doors to the propane BBQ that is connected to the house propane and also an outdoor dining table for 6 people to enjoy. Taking in dinner with this view over Little Kennisis Lake is simply unforgettable.

| This was a fabulous cottage rental. Laura was an excellent host making sure we were comfortable, checking in periodically and always available for us. The cottage is spacious, eloquently decorated with everything one would need. The appliances and kitchen was top notch. We were able to work from the office and had no problems with wifi connections. The lake is clean, clear and deep. The lake is quiet and it was great to be up high above the trees for a fabulous view of the lake. We canoed and kayaked to the larger Kennisis Lake to picnic on the small islands. The ambiance was everything we had hoped for with comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms and sitting areas.
This was a real treasure to find.

| This exquisite "cottage" on Little Kennisis Lake offered every comfort one could possibly wish for, every detail thought through from delux bathrooms, lovely bedrooms, in particular the master bedroom being quite special, a superb and fully equipped kitchen, many and varied visiting spaces , both indoors and out , with views of the lake and surrounding areas that simply take one's breath away.
Whilst the waterfront requires many steps to descend and ascend , it is all very doable and adds to the beauty of the whole.
Perfect dock from which to dive and boat.
Our host was welcoming, attentive , responsive to every question and went above and beyond to ensure a perfect holiday.
I have rented many a cottage over a liftime of cottaging but never one quite so lovely as this!

| This is the second year consecutively I've rented from Laura,I had such a lovely time at her other location last year that I reconnected with her and came up to her second property on little Kennisis lake this year. Everything was clean and included as expected-linens,towels,shampoos and coffee. It was home away from home,except way nicer,lol. She is very accommodating and on the ready if you need anything or need any information. The best part of my days were waking up to the stunning view of the lake from the master bedroom,it's unmatched. There are bass and trout in the lake so you don't have to go too far if you don't want to,although I highly recommend fishing in the wildlife reserve for more variety,I caught lots! On check out day I was so incredibly sad to leave to go back to the city but it just means I have something to look forward to next year. I have found my place to retire,that's for certain!

| My family of 6 and 2 dogs had an amazing time. The spacious cottage with several cozy places to either hang out together or separate was perfect. The views of the lake from the two decks was spectacular. I LOVED the view from the primary bedroom. The bathrooms and kitchen were very well appointed and upgraded. There are so many wonderful features about this cottage I could write all day! The dock and the lake are truly special, a clean deep warm lake that my 4 yr old grand daughter could not get enough of. She was jumping off that dock constantly. Thank you Laura for being such a great host.

| I can't recommend this cottage enough! Laura's Kennisis Lake cottage is one of the best I've experienced, it's a definite 10/10!
From the spectacular upper and lower deck views, to the beautifully decorated interior, the many cozy spots to curl up with a book or take a nap, the extremely comfortable beds, spa like bathroom, all impeccably clean and welcoming. Plus as an added bonus Laura provides many extra's on top of the towels and linens that I haven't seen anyone provide before like coffee, tea, sugar, a variety spices, olive oil and more. Every detail thought of and curated to ensure an enjoyable experience. Laura was a dream host who was easy to communicate with, providing a wealth of knowledge about things to do in the area and always available for any questions.
My family of four plus our pup had a glorious time at this cottage and our only complaint was that we didn't stay longer. We look forward to spending more time and making new memories at the Kennisis Lake cottage in the future.
