Stormy Lake boasts of being the highest in the county and hence clean and clear spring-fed waters. We are an easy 2-hour drive from GTA and Ottawa and 15 min. from Haliburton. Our cottage is situated 1 Acre private level lot right on the shoreline steps to the water, and on a gentle slope to clean water entry. All of the amenities of the waterfront are in close proximity to each other allowing for gathering. This is a quiet family-oriented lake with a friendly neighbourhood community. COTTAGE SPACE: *New siding, windows and doors, and stylish furnishings. New linens. Starlink Wi-Fi service. The upstairs includes 3 bedrooms (double, double, 4 twin bunks), a sitting area for reading/ games/movies, and an updated bathroom. Beds have comfortable new mattresses and bedding. The downstairs is an L-shaped open-concept space with a modern updated kitchen, dining, and living room for gathering. The kitchen is very well stocked for family meals. All bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room have beautiful lake views.
PATIO: Adjacent to the dining room is a walk-out to the patio with new outdoor dining for 8 (plus a picnic table) surrounded by lake views. The kitchen includes a fridge, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, Tassimo, kettle, blender, toaster oven, plates, cutlery, pots, pans, and more! A BBQ is also available.
DOCK: We have a large dock system on the water (NE facing, sunrise, and all-day sun) with both deep water entry and a clean rocky shoreline with shallow entry. Dock has room for seating - 5 comfy Muskoka chairs and room for sunbathing. This is the best spot to have your morning coffee! Anchored opposite the dock is a rock-textured floating raft for swimming to and playing/climbing on for hours of water fun for the kids. Clean weed-free water swimming!
BOATHOUSE: A newly built boathouse with a wrap-around deck (SE facing afternoon sun and sunsets) overlooks a gorgeous big lake vista. The boathouse serves as a games room with conversation seating for late-night board games and long chats, a foosball table and darts, fishing rods, 2 Kayaks - single and tandem, canoe, pedal boat, foosball table, etc. Deepwater entry from boathouse deck as boathouse sits over the water. A great covered spot for hanging out when the weather is not ideal. We've even had group yoga happen in the boathouse and deck. A floating swim mat is anchored out from the boathouse. Fishing from both the dock and boathouse is fun and easy for the kids (and adults). Clean weed-free waters for swimming! This is the spot to have your appetizers and drinks while taking in the sunset and enjoying laughs and good company!
BONFIRE: Central to all the waterfront action is a great bonfire gathering area in front of the cottage between the dock and the boathouse, close to the water for s'mores and campfire songs. For the young children, a swing set, and sandbox are on-site to enjoy. Some lawn games: corn hole, croquet, bocci, horseshoes, darts, ring toss, and giant Jenga! All outdoor amenities are in close and viewing proximity from inside the cottage allowing for easy supervision and a feeling of togetherness.
OUR LAKE: Stormy Lake is a quiet family-oriented community. Crystal clear spring-fed lake. Great swimming from our dock and big rocks to climb and dive from at the boat launch. There are some motorboats on the large section of the lake but generally quiet. Our location is on a quiet section of the lake safe for swimming with a big lake view. We have extremely kind and friendly neighbours - we wish to exercise common courtesy and respect for all cottage residents on the lake. Outdoor quiet time 10 pm. We are 15 minutes from the town of Haliburton, Groceries, Hospital Shopping, Beer Store, LCBO, Restaurants, Pubs, Farmer's Market, Haliburton School of the Arts (summer camps and adult courses available), Haliburton Forest Tree Top tour, Haliburton Wolf Centre, Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve, Haliburton Sculpture Forest, Museums, The Little Tart shop, Abbey Gardens, Haliburton Water Trails, brewery, spas, golf, hiking trails, cycling, and many more amenities. SEASONS: In summer, even without AC our cottage is naturally shaded by mature pines and a constant breeze being on a point that keeps us cool. Each room has a ceiling fan and/or tower fan for your comfort. The breeze helps keep away the bugs too! In the fall, the proper operation of the woodstove is needed to warm the whole cottage. Baseboard heaters and space heaters are situated in rooms upstairs during cooler months. The woodstove is high efficiency and can warm up the entire cottage easily with proper use.

| What a wonderful cottage! And the hosts couldn't be better. We felt from the beginning that Binh wanted us to have the best memories from our stay. There are lots things to do at the water, with paddle boards, peddle boat, kayak, floating platforms to swim to and sun on, and Muskoka chairs we enjoyed morning coffee on. Lots of frontage that provided privacy and beautiful sunrise and sunset views. Inside the cottage is well laid out. The kitchen is perfect with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals. The dining table seats 8 easily with another eating area outside. The bedrooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the little tv and dvd area with so many movie options to choose from. There are even some toys for the kids like Lego to keep them busy on the rainy days. The fire pit was a favourite each night under the stringed lights and the stars. Easy to pick up some fire wood during a trip to Haliburton Village for ice cream! Can't say enough about how great our visit was. We had elderly and young kids and everyone enjoyed. We will be back!

| Lovely location, close to town for supplies (yummy lattes in antique store in Haliburton), water floaties were a family hit! Storm from the kitchen windows was a highlight as were the sunrises/sunsets. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and amenities. Owners of cottage are friendly and accommodating.

| Excellent property for families with young kids. The boathouse and dock and two floating platforms make it ideal for kids to play in the water. Paddle boards, kayak, canoe, pedal boat all available. Chilling on the boathouse deck early in the morning and at sunset was very relaxing. Cottage is very clean and hassle free linen service definitely the way to go. We brought lots of kitchen stuff we didn't end up using because the kitchen was very well stocked already. Would have been awesome but we didn't get to use the fire pit due to the fire ban and rainy weather. Fishing from shore is suitable for young kids, can catch rock bass, sunfish; I caught only a couple large smallies from shore -- a serious angler would need to take a boat out. Quick easy drive to Haliburton where you can get groceries, meds, fishing bait, gas and stop by the landfill all in one go. Hosts Binh and Ramon are very friendly, helpful and communicative. Highly recommended.

| My family and I had an absolute blast at Binh's cottage. It was such a memorable cottage trip as it was a special celebration of a birthday and a wedding anniversary. I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.
Communication with Binh prior to our stay was amazing. Quick response, good information shared and hassle free arrangements.
The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Breath-taking view with the most amazing boathouse and private dock set up for our family entertainment. We had so much fun with all the items from ring toss, darts, foosball table to kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddling and swimming. My dad enjoyed fishing and we also did star gazing laying on the dock at night to see shooting stars! The fire pit area was perfect for our marshmellow and smores fun.
Indoors, we cooked meals and even baked! The kitchen appliances were almost all used at one point. Bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept well. Bathroom was very clean. Despite some water pressure challenges, we enjoyed every part of this cottage stay. Even the rainy days were good becasue we had family movie time with the huge assortment of boardgames and movies available!
Thank you for being our host!! Even introducing us to where we could enjoy fresh eggs and support local.
