| We had a really wonderful time at Castle Aidan! Dan is a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. The space is excellent and has a lot to offer. Everything was neat and tidy with lightswitches and cupboards helpfully labeled. The proximity to Haliburton Forest is great - we spent an afternoon at the Wolf Centre and the boys went hiking on the trails everyday. The second floor landing is very pleasant for reading and enjoying the amazing view. It was fun playing in the games room after dinner and the boys would have a quick hottub before bedtime. We highly recommend and will return again next year! :)

| This is an amazing cottage to stay in!!! Highly recommended. All rooms are so clean and organized, and we could truly feel that it is beautifully maintained with lots of care! Details in the guest book and labels in the cottage provided by the owners to ensure your smooth stay! The water front view (especially from the bay window on the second floor and main balcony) was so beautiful; the lake was lots of fun to swim in! There are many activities that are provided to you - kayak, pedal boat, paddle board. Basement recreation room has many entertainment units for all ages. If you are looking for a nice vacation home to stay with family/friends, this cottage offers it all!!

| We had an amazing week at Castle Aidan! Dan was a fantastic host, very responsive, and accommodating.
We really enjoyed the basketball, pool, pac man, and darts games in the basement. The heated floors in the basement made it very comfortable for sleeping and playing. Although the lake is very deep, it was beautifully warm for many hours of swimming! Excellent for boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, etc. The only downside of this week was all the stairs/hill to the cottage! The sitting area halfway down to the dock was wonderful to relax and enjoy the view. Between hours of water activities, swimming, and the climb back to the cottage, we sure got our exercise in. Thank you again for a fantastic week!

| This stay is an absolute must!
My family and I (including parents and in-laws) were looking for a cottage when we came across this listing.
This space was the perfect size for the 3 families. We could spend our days together around the dining table, on the patio, and in the game room, but we also had our own rooms when we wanted our own space. The cottage was really clean and everything was well labelled so we could find everything we needed easily.
The cottage itself sits high atop, so there are stairs to lead to the docks. But this allowed for the magnificent views of the lake. The lake was absolutely wonderful. It was very serene and wasn't too busy. The water is calm and not too cold (as you get with the larger lakes), other than a few waves here and there from speedboats going by, but they did make kayaking and pedal boating more fun.
The hosts were super friendly and extremely accessible. They answered our questions quickly throughout the booking process. The cottage even came with a guide that was very informative. Everything was well thought out with this listing.
Oh! And this is something not ordinarily mentioned but the water pressure was amazing!
My family and I are already thinking about returning for the Fall! Don't hesitate to book Castle Aidan!

| Dan and Diana were amazing hosts and were very responsive and great to communicate with. They provided all the details we needed to have a great time at the cottage. The cottage itself was very spacious and clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and everyone enjoyed all the amenities it had. The kids had a lot of fun in the game room, the kid-sized rooms on the top floor and spent a lot of time on the lake. The evenings were relaxing given the amazing lakeside views especially as the sun was setting. We definitely recommend this cottage and would go back again.
