This wonderful family cottage is located on a private wooded shoreline on tranquil Turtle Lake, just 1 1/ 2 hours north of Toronto, near the town of Gravenhurst! What a perfect vacation spot for the nature enthusiast or for your family to enjoy some lake time together!
Enjoy the naturally windswept landscape with 300 feet of dramatic granite shore and incredible sweeping views up and down the lake. The cottage sits on a plateau of granite rock, offering fantastic views of the lake. Extraordinary privacy from the neighbours on both sides!
Great for swimming with a natural shallow water entry and deeper water off the end of the dock. A ladder eases you into the water from our floating dock.
Explore both Turtle and Loon lakes by kayak, canoe, stand up paddleboard (SUP). There is also a floating 'party island' tethered close to shore within the swimming area. Great freshwater fishing from the shoreline or by rowboat. Enjoy the sunshine by the lake all day and then take in the sunset with a glass of wine on the dock! End the day under the stars with the campfire on the rugged rocky plateau overlooking the lake.
The cottage offers a fantastic wrap-around deck (the full length of the cottage). Enjoy the view of the lake while you relax or barbecue. Outdoor seating area also gets plenty of sun. Dine 'al fresco' in the screened in outdoor dining room.
The large communal area has a open concept living room with comfortable furniture to curl up in. Wonderful traditional Muskoka stone fireplace with wood burning insert for cooler nights. A fully equipped kitchen opens onto the living room. There are also lots of books, board games and puzzles to play.

| Our family stayed here one week with friends (6 people total). Great cottage. Private shallow water entry, a dock, and many amenities. Only 10 minutes from Gravenhurst if you need anything you forgot to bring, but you wouldn't know it was that close given how secluded it feels there (which is great). Lake is pretty quiet and water is great in the summer. We've rented cottages before but this one ended up being one of our favorites -- screened in outdoor patio area for eating as well as a balcony with one bedroom screened in so you can enjoy the outdoors without bugs being a problem in the evenings. First time we've had that and it was a great plus. Also, a lot of things were provided like linens, bathroom towels, kitchen supplies, as well as plenty of patio and dock chairs, water craft (canoe, paddleboard, kayaks, life jackets, etc.). Water isn't potable so we brought our own for cooking and drinking, but renter was kind enough to also provide some in plastic jugs as well and you can fill up in Gravenhurst for free in a few places though we never needed to. Rental process was smooth, renter responded to any inquiries quickly, and cottage itself was comfortable and clean. Honestly, nothing negative to say about it except the fish I got on the hook from dock casting bit through my lure and got away lol. Would recommend.
