| We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, spacious cottage! From the start, our hosts, Roly and Brigitte, were incredibly gracious and helpful. They made the entire booking process easy, even with our last-minute changes. We appreciated their patience, especially when organizing a group can be challenging. The cottage is stunning and fully equipped, making it feel like a true home away from home. We had 9 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs, and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed for meals, and the living spaces are cozy and inviting. There are also lots of activities to enjoy, both inside and out, so everyone had something to do. The fall views were simply breathtaking. Whether enjoying coffee by the big windows or sitting on the peaceful dock, the vibrant autumn colors were a feast for the eyes. The serene atmosphere by the lake, especially with the beautiful fall foliage, made it the perfect getaway. Overall, this cottage offers the perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and nature. Whether you're sitting by the fireplace with a hot drink or exploring the beautiful surroundings, it's a truly magical escape. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a cozy, scenic getaway with lots of space for friends, family, and even furry companions! Thank you Rory and Brigitte!

| Our stay at the lake house was nothing short of magical! We arrived late at night but from the moment we woke, we were captivated by the stunning views of the serene lake. The house itself was beautifully maintained and offered every amenity we could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy comfortable bedrooms. The spacious dock was perfect for morning coffee while watching the sunrise and allowed for easy access to swimming and kayaking (included). The peaceful setting provided a much-needed escape for all 4 couples.
What truly set this rental apart was the attention to detail and the welcoming touches throughout the property. We found the house impeccably clean, with charming decor that made us feel right at home. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or outdoor adventures, this lake house is the perfect destination. We can't wait to return for another relaxing getaway!

| We were fortunate enough to find time in September to get up north and enjoy the beautiful changing colours of Mother Nature with friends and their kids. The drive to the Lake Daze cottage was easy as it's just outside Parry Sound and less than 3 hours from our home in Toronto. Upon arrival we were immediately impressed with the huge living space and maybe bedrooms which was going to be the perfect setting for us and our two other family friends and their kids all to spend time and make some memories.
The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to make large meals for the group along with spices and cooking supplies beyond expectation.
We spent three glorious full days down at on the dock fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and swimming out to the lily pad. The weather was perfect, the lake was quiet and easy to explore on the many watercraft made available for use along with life jackets for everyone.
Every night we finished with a large family campfire grilling marshmallows for s'mores and laughing under the stars.
Absolutely loved making core memories with our family and friends and many thanks to the most gracious of hosts at Lake Daze. Zero complaints - we will be back!

| As you drive up there is ample parking for at least 4-5 cars. Upon entering the house everything was very clean and welcoming with all of the lake decor and details, they even set out dog bowls for food and water which was a nice touch. There was a sweet welcome card for us with some Gatorade and popcorn which was nice as well. They emailed us a couple days before letting us know the water cooler was broken and left us a case of water in the spare fridge. There were 10 of us (4 couples, 2 singles and 1 dog). One couple had to take one of the double bunk beds, and a single person the other, there weren't enough private bedrooms but i think they didn't mind (however, they did leave one night early saying that the bed was uncomfortable) I think if you had kids the bunk room would be perfect, not ideal for couples. One thing that people complained about was having to share the 1 main washroom that was outside, since once the other couple went to bed in the King bedroom the 2nd washroom was not accessible in the morning or throughout the night. The WiFi and Netflix streaming is also limited which is not stated in the listing, and the reception there is not great to begin with so it was challenging to share photos etc. and/or watch movies when it was raining outside for fear of going over. Other than that i would recommend this cottage - there is a path with steep stone steps that takes you to the lake and dock so may not be easily accessible if you are in a wheelchair or elderly.

Owner response: Thanks again for choosing to stay with us, Stephanie. We do pride ourselves on providing a great experience for our guests, so thank you for the feedback. We did end up replacing the watercooler. Our apologies if it was not clear in the listing regarding the layout of the 4 bedrooms. Surprised to hear that someone left early due to an uncomfortable bed as they are all brand new (Juno) mattresses, however, can appreciate individual preference. As for the layout of the two washrooms, we will look to see how we can improve the listing so that people understand an ensuite is accessible via the master/primary bedroom. With the wifi it is only highlighted that it is not unlimited and to be mindful though we have never limited use, and to date have not received any complaints, so our apologies if this impacted your stay. As for the path to the lake, there is a change in elevation, however the professionally landscaped stairs are deep and wide providing kids/elderly space to take their time but would definitely be a challenge for a physical disability. Thanks again for staying with us, your feedback, and your recommendation! | |
