MAIN COTTAGE:
*3 bedroom 1 bath
*2 bedrooms have queen beds, third bedroom is a double
There are also 2 pullout couches in main cottage (one in living room, one in porch. Both double beds)
*Open concept kitchen to living room with dine in kitchen space. Living room leads to sunroom with Florida windows. Sunroom leads to large entertaining deck that has great views of the lake and lots of seating
BACHELOR STYLE COTTAGE/BUNKHOUSE:
*Open concept bedroom with a queen bed & a bunkbed (2 twins)
*Kitchenette featuring a sink/counter/cupboard space and fridge (no stove, only in main cottage)
*Full bathroom with shower
Our property has very flat land (super ideal for kiddos, elderly, etc) and minimal stairs into buildings (2&3 steps)
Over 180 feet frontage, great fishing/boating/swimming on the historic Rideau system (great fishing right off the dock!)
Clean swimmable shallow frontage. Sand and stone mix. Minimal weeds (aside from what washes in) It is shallow water at entry point from steps for several feet out which makes it a great swimming space for children. Would still recommend water shoes.
Dock deep enough for boats and jumping. Ladder to enter water from end of dock if desired. There is a free public boat launch just across the bay if needed (1 min boat ride, 6 min drive by land). Very convenient and easy launch access
Private treed 2 acres but nice and open lot around the cottage for yard fun
Property gets both sun and shade so there is a space for everyone's preference!
Gravelled drive and parking (no parking on lawn)
UV filtration system for lake intake water (however recommend using tap water for bathing, dishes, rinsing food only unless boiling for cooking)
Water cooler for large drinking jugs (the ~18L jugs)

Drink fridges in each cottage in addition to full size fridges in each
Checkin is Friday 4pm
Checkout is following Friday 11am
AC (in main cottage), multiple room fans, fast wifi, bbq/propane, kitchen necessities (dishes/pots&pans/coffee maker/toaster, dish soap, hand soap etc) provided
Bring your own linens(sheets/bedding), toiletries, towels
Pillows are provided
General Rules & Housekeeping Policies:
*No pets. No exceptions. Please do not inquire
*No smoking inside either cottage. No butts thrown on property please use tin pails provided
*No additional visitors unless discussed prior to booking. Absolutely no parties allowed (will result in loss of remaining rental period)
*All dishes washed and away prior to checkout (while there is plenty of dishware, we do recommend packing paper plates)
*All garbage and recycling collected and put in designated garbage shed prior to checkout
*Bring your own linens, towels(kitchen&bath), toiletries
*Please do light cleaning ie things back where they were originally/tidying. A large mess will result in loss of damage deposit
*Please take all of your leftover food from fridge/cupboards at checkout
50% deposit is due to book requested week
Remaining 50% is due by 60 days prior to check-in date
$500 damage deposit due with second payment/balance (damage deposit is fully refunded within 2 days if there is no damage. Please note, leaving a mess behind as we state minimum light cleaning can result in loss of damage deposit). Any damage above $500 caused by the renter/guests, is the responsibility of the renter as well.
Cancellation policy: if you need to cancel, prior to 60 days before check-in date, 50% of deposit is refunded. Within 60 days of check-in (and final payment has been taken) 50% refund of total (ie deposit forfeited but final payment reimbursed) NO refund on or within 14 days of check-in date
Example:
You book and secure with $1575 deposit, if you cancel prior to 60 days to your check-in, $787.50 is refundable. Within 60 days, and full $3150+damage deposit($500) has been paid, $1575+damage deposit ($500) would be refunded. On or within 14 days of check-in, no refunds are given except $500 damage deposit. This is to ensure we do not have last minute cancellations/no shows and lose out on other potential renters

| This cottage rental was amazing! The land is super flat and easy for yard games and kids to run around. The extra cottage was beautiful and perfect for a second family to stay in. Lots of fish caught right off the dock which entertained the little kids for days! Angel was very responsive and helpful with any needs. We really enjoyed our week stay and would love to rent here again.

| This was the perfect cottage. It was clean upon arrival. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, the kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. The bunkie was like a mini cottage and was spacious and clean. There were games for children, lots of yard space for kids to safely play and be seen, a huge area for playing in the sand and a hammock to relax in. Everyone enjoyed jumping in off the dock to enjoy the lake. Angel was very helpful, always quick to reply and a great communicator. We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and property.

| We had an amazing week at The Thomsens on Tucker's place on Big Rideau Lake!! Everything was as advertised and more. We had fun, swimming, boating, tubing and the fishing was great. Angel was a great host and made us feel welcome from the get go. The Thomsens on Tucker is a great place to get away!

| We had a fantastic week stay at the Thomsens cottage surrounded by breathtaking views. The cottage and the bunkie were very cosy, clean and well equipped and very private. We spent most of our time outdoors on the large deck which had plenty of seating as well as on the deck by the dock. It was so relaxing taking in the view of the water and the surrounding trees. We were visited daily by a blue heron and feeding geese. We very much made ourselves at home here. We sat by the fire pit most nights which had enough seating and well supplied with wood. Loved the whole experience considering it's our first time renting a cottage. Lovely dealing with Angel.

| We just got back from this beautiful cottage and had a wonderful time. We rented the cottage for the weekend with our family of three generations. It is the perfect spot for a family getaway and a great location. The cottage and bunkie are very clean, well taken care of and fully equipped. The property was ideal for our grandkids. They loved playing in the sand pit, the bonfires at night and fishing off the dock. We saw a heron, beaver, geese with their goslings, loons and had daily visits from the white ducks. Angel is lovely to deal with and responded quickly to all our questions. We highly recommend The Thomsens on Tucker.
