Escape to our newly renovated 1935 cottage located near the shores of Lake Erie. Come and relax on one of the worlds Great Lakes. Located near Dunnville, Ontario Canada. This area is full of riches to explore. From The Grand River, 10 mins away, to the fossils along the shores of the beautiful Rockpoint provincial park. Trails to wander, beaches to see and memories to be had.
Drive down the quiet dead end road along the lake, which will take you to our property. Along the way you will pass Freedom Oaks Golf Club and restaurant. (2 mins from the cottage) Grab your clubs and play a round www.freedomoaks.ca to book a tee time. Once you have made your way and arrived at this cozy little cottage, Drop your bags and take a 5 minute stroll to the semi private beach. A great place to hang out for the day, whether in the summer or winter.
This cozy, cheerful, all season, 2 bedroom cottage provides you with 750 square feet of living space. When entering inside you immediately feel the bright, sunny openness that there is to offer. The original hardwood floors have been restored and the fireplace has been refinished to highlight the stones from Lake Erie. The living area is very comfortable to put your feet up and relax. A full kitchen allows you the opportunity to create in the kitchen without bringing anything but the food. Have your family enjoy each other around the dining table from 1945.
Our main bedroom has one queen size bed. The second bedroom has a double bunk bed with a single bed on top. The sectional couch has a large pullout bed. All fresh linens and towels provided.
Relax during the day in the spacious yard area and patio space. A patio table and furniture ready for you to unwind. Enjoy a fire at night with a large fire pit area with chairs. Wood available if you are willing to chop. The lake is located across the road, the sound of the waves in the short distance. A vast variety of birds to be seen. Swimming, walking, biking, hiking, kayaking the list goes on...
This cottage is open all year long to be able to enjoy all seasons Canada has to offer. From the beauty of the beach in the summer to the ice walls that are created in the winter, sometimes stories high. The different colours in the fall and the spring time melt and blooms... what a pretty place to be so close to the city. Travel down country roads no matter what direction you are coming in from. Hours more spent at the property rather then the highway.
Located 10 minutes outside of Dunnville, Ontario, Canada population 12,000, it is on The Grand River. The town offers all amenities to grab whatever you need. Book fishing, boating trips on Lake Erie. Explore the history of the area with a town museum. Boat races, Mudcat festival and other entertainment and festivals throughout the year.
