Please note that our property is constantly being upgraded. You will sometimes notice we've added new items to make stays more comfortable. There is a possibility our photos may be different than what you see in the property upon arrival.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the cottage, waterfront and 1+ acre property.
Other things to note
Early check in / late check out is available at $30 per hour.
Guests are responsible to remove their own garbage. We will provide details of waste dump sites prior to your arrival. We can offer to remove the garbage for you, but it will cost an additional $100 to have it removed (We don't have public waste removal).
Pet Rules
1. Maximum of 2 pets.
2. Pets are not allowed on the furniture.
3. We do have pet baskets on the property, there's towels, toys, leashes and other little goodies.
4. Please be sure to wipe your pets paws before entering the home, you can find towels in the pet basket.
5. Pets are not allowed to roam free, please keep them leashed at all times.
REMINDER: Water/Plumbing and Septic
Please understand that the Cottage has a septic system and only bodily waste materials or biodegradable toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet. Absolutely no feminine hygiene products, including tampons, are to be flushed even if the product is labeled as 'flushable'. Please also remember because of the septic not to put any solid waste materials, coffee grounds or grease down the sink drains.
If there is a sewage back up and we find evidence of any of the above, we will defer this cost back to the guest.
We are on a well, most guests don't mind it but you're welcome to bring you're own water.
There are natural changes that may occur in the area that is out of our control. Although these occurrences are rare, they do sometimes happen. Please be sure to ask us if there are any reports of water quality in order to ensure your stay is not affected. If we are informed of any information after you book but prior to the stay, we will inform you.

Note: Cottage is located on White Lake and is easily accessible from the Nation's Capital region as well as most of Ontario with guests visiting us from the GTA. The road is paved 95% of the way with municipal snow clearing in place 365 days of the year for 4 season access. The White Lake General store is just over 20km away and offers all your last minute cottage items such as: beverages, firewood, treats, basic groceries and fuel. | This is a return trip for our growing extended family. We love the cottage and all that it offers us. The lake was perfect for swimming with hardly any weeds and the temperature was amazing. There was enough room for places to go if needed a quiet space. We were able to rent a boat at a lodge for the week and used all the water toys the cottage provides us. There was a daily catch of fish to help with our derby for the biggest fish trophy, if you want a beach for the day there is a great beach 20 minutes from the cottage . I highly recommend this place ! The host is very helpful with any issues or concerns if needed. Also being close to Ottawa is nice if a visitor comes or you forget something. Thanks again for those beautiful sunsets!

| Beautiful cottage nestled in a sheltered cove on the lake. The house is open concept and very spacious. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for cooking!
Beds and any lounging furniture were all very comfortable. There is an outside screen room that is perfect for hanging out in the evenings by the propane fireplace and watching the sun sets.
The owners were helpful & welcoming throughout the whole stay.
Would highly recommend this cottage to friends & family!

| Had an amazing weekend here with the family. This place was so nice that my kids wanted to move here. Had plenty of space for 6 adults and 5 children's. During our stay all the parents were barely bothered by their kids as the kids were in the lower level that had kids activities. Stayed there during the winter and can't wait to go again during the summer weather.

| We were very pleased with the cottage itself. It had enough room for seven adults , child and one dog. It was extremely clean and modern with a beautiful view of the nightly sunset.The fish are plentiful in White lake and we were able to rent a boat 22 minutes away at White Lake Marina. The screened in porch is a perfect place to go and play games while children sleep. We had lots of water toys to keep us busy. When we needed something it was instant communication back to us from the host. It is a wonderful place!

| We stayed 1 night at Pôr do Sol for a company event for 7 of us who work for a remote company and we absolutely had a fantastic time. The cottage was beautifully updated with comfortable seating, plenty of non-outdoor things to do if you have a rainy day such as a couple board games if you forget to bring yours, and a foosball table. There was also plenty of fridge and mini-fridge space for storing drinks or food. Furthermore the cell connection was great if you have to stay connected like we did as it was a business trip.
We were lucky and had absolutely beautiful weather and the watercraft amenities offered are fantastic. We really enjoyed going out on the water as a group with the kayak, paddle-boat, sup board, canoe... it is a beautiful lake that was quite quiet to boat on. And eating dinner in the screened in porch with the view of the lake was a perfect end to the day.
I am absolutely planning on booking again for a family trip. Thank you for hosting us!
