COZY WINTER COTTAGE DAYS - BOOK YOUR CHANGE OF SCENERY GET-AWAY We invite you to enjoy our little slice of paradise. Take in our panoramic views of the lake and nature -- the view never gets old and the sunsets never disappoint. Newly renovated in 2022, our 4 season private lakeside retreat is located on the shores of the spectacular Kashagawigamog Lake, part of the famous 5-lake chain, just a 2.5 hour drive from the GTA. Swim in the deep (20 plus ft off the dock), clear and weed-free waters. Access kilometres of hiking, ATV, biking, ski and snowmobile trails from your back door. Our oversized 1.5 acre treed lot and 190ft waterfront provides lots of privacy and room to spread out. Enter the naturally landscaped property down a long tree-lined private drive and arrive to the parking area by the large garage. The property easily accommodates parking for 8 vehicles, with 4-5 near the garage and overflow parking along the entrance drive for another 3-4 vehicles. Lots of room for snowmobile/ boat trailers. Entry from the main parking area to the cottage is along a fairly level path. The heated spacious garage offers a ping pong table and dart board for family tournaments, and a gym area with a full set of free-weights, bench and yoga mats for your use. (Snow removal services in place during the winter but patience is needed if there is a fresh fall of snow - service providers need time to make it around to all of the properties.)
The spacious light filled main cottage offers 5 charming, bright and comfortable bedrooms with 3 on the main floor and 2 (including a bunk room for 4) on the lower level. The main level features expansive, panoramic windows that allow you to marvel at the spectacular views and nature from all angles. For the guests who love to cook and entertain on vacation, working in the fully-equipped kitchen will be a joy. Spices and basic cooking supplies are kept on hand for guests complimentary use.
The spacious open concept main floor living space with gas fireplace allows guests to come together to enjoy movie nights in the cheerful and comfy living room, game nights and family dinners at the large dining table (easily accommodates 10-12 people), appies and conversation at the 9 foot island. A large screened in porch with a newly installed woodstove (wood provided) off the main living space is perfect spot to park yourself for lazy summer afternoon conversation, devouring a book or lounging at sundown.
The lakeside facing large deck off the main floor is the ideal place for cocktail hour and winding down from the day.
Need a dedicated workspace? Use the office space in the third bedroom on the main level or reserve the Red Bunkie - both areas offer highspeed WIFI, desk and chair to log into work when needed.
The lower level offers a separate family room with TV and games table, a perfect space for children or teens to gather. A bathroom with shower, laundry room, second fridge for overflow completes the lower space. Access the lower level from the main floor stairway, or directly from the outside.
Access and enjoy your private waterfront down a naturally landscaped hill (note, hill is steep and will be difficult to navigate for those with mobility issues).
Ample Muskoka chairs (16!) are strategically placed throughout the property to provide spaces for people to gather, whether on the 20/24 foot dock or at a variety of lookout points. The dock is the ideal place to enjoy hot summer days swimming in the clean, deep (30+feet off the end of the dock - young children must be closely monitored and should wear floatation devices) weed-free waters. Kayaks, SUP board, variety of water toys, and a floater mat are available for guests use. Swim out to the diving dock from the main dock for lots of fun in the sun. Prefer to wade into the water, easily access the sandy bottomed shoreline from a second ladder off the dock. Hop in the kayak or on the paddleboard from the shoreline. Motorized watercraft rentals are available close by and the public boat launch is just down the road.

For an additional charge (contact Host), have use of two very charming newly refurbished bunkies with fabulous lake views for a dedicated work space and/or additional sleeping (one double and three twin in total). The bunkies are heated, WIFI enabled and are well insulated, making them suitable for use Spring, Summer, Fall and even most of the Winter (note: there are no bathroom facilities in the bunkies).
Bedding, towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies are supplied. Any amenities you may need during your visit can be obtained in downtown Haliburton, a short five-minute drive. Also 5 minutes away is the Haliburton Hospital (hopefully not needed, but close by if you do!).
Minutes from the property there are activities for all ages during all seasons. Visit downtown Haliburton's charming stores, galleries, restaurants and summer markets. Stop into the library to sign out books, dvds or use the computers. Enjoy a round of golf at the Haliburton Golf Course, just minutes away. Soak up nature in all seasons by taking advantage of the many nearby trails, including the Haliburton Sculpture Forest (a must see) and a visit to the Haliburton Forest, Wolf Centre, and Abby's Gardens. Enjoy a pint and a nibble at the Boshkung Brewery, grab lunch or an ice cream at Bonnie View Lodge's waterside restaurant.
In winter take advantage of numerous groomed xcountry, snowshoe and snowmobile trails. In spring, summer and fall bike, walk, hike the trails or bring along your ATV. Enjoy Sir Sam's spa, downhill skiing in the winter and mountain biking in the summer.
Haliburton is known for its art culture. Visit in September and October to enjoy the spectacular fall colours and take in the Studio Tour. Fall is the perfect time to take advantage of the Haliburton Forest Wildlife Centre's Canopy Tour.

| January 2023 stay for 1 week, family of 4. We had a wonderful week at this cottage! Thank you Jason and Karissa. The cottage was clean and beautiful with everything we needed. We had guests come up for 2 nights and there was plenty of room for everyone. Hiking was close by. We went into haliburton for dinner. It was truly a cozy winter getaway. We highly recommend this cottage and we have already booked in the summer!

| This place lives up to it's name "Take Me Away Cottage". The bunkies are amazing! Everything is close by. Lots to do. Owners set it up really well for everybody in the family. Seems to be renovated recently - high end place. Awesome lake frontage and water in this part of Haliburton. Everything we needed! We'll go back. Highly recommended.
