Beautiful Burns Cottage in Tantallon, Nova Scotia is available for weekly rental from May 1 to October 31. The Cottage is located on the shores of St. Margaret's Bay. Surroundings include private beach, forests and green space. This is a quiet cottage at the end of a private lane. Birds and wildlife are all around. This is a two bedroom, one bathroom cottage. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other bedroom has two single beds. There is also a sofa bed in the den. Kitchen is fully equipped (no dishwasher) and linens and towels are provided. Basement is unfinished but includes washer and dryer. Internet is provided but no land line, TV or related services. 30 amp RV/ Trailer hookup available.
Half an hour from Halifax or Peggy's Cove and an hour to Lunenburg and all the delight in between. Groceries, shops, gas all available in a 10 minute drive.

| Burn's Cottage is a treasure. My wife, daughter and I stayed there recently for our visit to see my Nova Scotia family. From the very start it was a wonderful experience. Email communication with the host was prompt, upbeat, clear and pleasant. Then there's the place itself. As gorgeous as the listing's pictures are, the cottage, its grounds and its charming little beach all exceeded our expectations.
Entering for the first time it soon felt cozy. After dropping our bags in our rooms, all three of us felt compelled to look around. The decor is not only beautiful, it's interesting and much of it tells a heartfelt, generational story about this much-loved property.
As the days progressed, it felt more and more like home. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals and the barbeque was a welcome bonus. The furniture was comfortable, a lot of it being beautiful antique wood. Everything worked. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage in between visits with family. Morning coffee and dinner on the deck soaking in the maritime scenery, feeling the peace while reading inside and outside, wandering the property and visiting the beach had us falling in love with the place.
Reading the reviews here and the comments in the cottage's guest book, many people said they wanted to come back in the future. Some even said they make it a repeat vacation home away from home. We're in with that group now. We want to come back.

| We were fortunate to stay in the Burns Cottage during the months of May and June. It was a home away from home, everything we needed was provided for our stay. So serene - full of history and charm. Rebecca and Alix are amazing hosts.
We enjoyed watching the sailboats come and go over morning coffee and the deer that would sometimes visit with their little ones. Lot's of wildlife to catch your attention, including a steady stream of Hummingbirds.
For us, the location is superb. It is central to many trails and if you are going west to Lunenburg, east to Halifax or south to Peggy's Cove; you can do so easily in under 30 min.
Burns Cottage will definitely be on our list as we plan our travels in the coming years.

| Burns Cottage was a perfect vacation for our family of 4.
The cottage had everything we needed and was clean and modern. Stores are all close by.
Day trips to Carters Beach (white sand), Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Halifax, and only 20 mins to Peggy's cove.
The cottage has a magical view to have morning coffee to. Watching the sailboats and paddle boarding in the bay.
We hope to come again in future. Ideal place to unwind and relax in comfort.

| We had a wonderful stay at Burns Cottage! The cottage itself was bright and clean and nicely decorated. There was ample space for me, my husband and our two dogs to relax and enjoy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The cottage is well located near Peggys Cove, and we made easy day trips to Lunenburg and Halifax as well. The best feature is the view and private beach. What a special place.

| The Burn's Cottage has been a 'Home away from Home for us for a number of years. It is very well equipped, comfortable, peaceful and ideally located. We have travelled extensively in Canada and the US and Nova Scotia, and this location specifically, is a favourite.
There is excellent grocery shopping at large local grocery stores, road side stands for produce, farmers markets and an excellent fish and seafood merchant.
We are avid photographers and, in the six years we have stayed here, we feel we have not exhausted all the photographic opportunities.
There are many day trips within an hour's drive, Peggy's Cove, Lunenburg, Halifax, Mahone Bay.
If you need a day's rest to read on the deck, you can watch the small sailboats at the local marina and the daily visits of deer and pheasants.
There are many dining opportunities within a 30-minute drive, both 'take out' and some excellent dining rooms. Thankfully you won't find any fast-food outlets, just 'one of a kind' spots with quality food and excellent service.
The owners, Rebecca and Alix, are responsive and a pleasure to deal with.
The added bonus is the east coast hospitality.
