LIVING ROOM:
The living room is the most spacious one very suitable for large groups. Lots of sitting place to unwind you wont have any complaints with space I promise. Large glass windows to enjoy the unobstructed view of the mountain and lake and enjoy the open star filled sky at nights ( we have a telescope which is another big hit with our guest)
KITCHEN:
There are so many top restaurants to try out in the area, but sometimes there is nothing like a home-cooked meal. This gourmet kitchen has everything you need to make meals just like you do at home.
You'll find stainless steel appliances, including a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, stove, and range hood. There is also a toaster, kettle, French press and a high end coffee machine (which takes grinds and whole beans) we provide both. Cooking basics, utensils and kitchenware are provided, and a sizeable pantry completes the set-up. Our guest love the kitchen it is a perfectly well stocked one with everything you may need. Our bright and spacious main floor along with this fully stocked kitchen allows for gathering and entertaining whilst you enjoy the breathtaking views of the hill side through the large glass windows in all directions.
BEDROOMS:
The 4 bedrooms are large and tastefully designed with luxury ultra -comfortable beds and linen to create a nostalgic ambience so you can enjoy a good night sleep. Did I mention the master bedroom has huge glass windows to enjoy the beautiful garden view.
BATHROOMS:
There are two bathrooms in this beautiful place. The master bathroom is in the corridor so you can access it without having to disturb others in the group. The other bathroom is a powder room and is also accessible by the remaining rooms. Dry off with hotel quality towels and take advantage of the luxury bath products provided.
BACK DECK & PATIO:
The back deck faces the Picton Bay Lots of outdoor seating space we have a little over 2 acres to enjoy . The lovely BBQ or sit by the fire pit while you enjoy some s'mores and group mid night stories or simply unwind in the pergola over the hill there is something for everyone.
Summer, Fall or Winter our location has awesome views you could enjoy in all directions wether it is outdoor or through the large glass windows indoor.
MORE INDOOR ACTIVITIES:
If you want to spend time and enjoy inside the house and cozy up there are tons of group games ( we have a full closet of them this is a hit with most of our guest) and not forgetting the classic VHS tapes and movies to keep you entertained.

Guest access
Guest will have access to all parts of the property during their stay. There is a backyard patio with dining table and seating for 6 plus. A fire pit, we ask that guests bring their own wood either from Picton (Sobeys/Metro) or one of the roadside vendors along County Roads. A pergola with outdoor furniture. Horseshoe pits are located near the fire pit. There are stunning water views from the property as we are located on a hill top there is no water access from the property.
Other things to note
At Little House on the Mountain we follow best cleaning practices in the hotel industry including the new Covid cleaning practices. After each stay, all hard surfaces are cleaned then disinfected. Your linens are washed in hot water and dried at high temperatures. We have four sets of lines for each bed so there is a minimum of 8 days between reuse. We are letting the house sit empty for a period of time before your visit.
