ROOM DETAILS:

The Main Level -

Upon entering the front door, you'll be welcomed by a spacious foyer leading through a wide opening to the main floor rooms. Hardwood floors and large windows allow natural light throughout creating an open and airy feeling. This beautifully decorated space offers the best views overlooking the lake and gives vacationers a chance to enjoy the cottage's peaceful surroundings.

The living room is a wonderful gathering place with ample seating, many windows and two sliding doors opening to a large wraparound deck with barbecue. Much like the living room, this deck is an extension of the breath-taking lakeside views that the cottage provides.

The showpiece kitchen with large island is stunning, comes fully equipped with all-new stainless steel appliances and plenty of extras, tons of quartz counter space for food prep and a centre island with large sink, the dishwasher, motion-sensor faucet and 5 additional seats. We've provided everything (minus the food!) needed for meal preparation, cooking and presentation of that much anticipated evening meal with the family.

The well lit dining room has sufficient seating for 1+ people and the available shelving storage is perfect for keeping all your pantry items close at hand.


Lower Level Walkout

Hummingbird Haven also has a walkout lower level, where you'll find the second unit including 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a second full kitchen, living room with wood stove and open area play room. The walkouts with the 4th bedroom has 1 queen bed, the 5th bedroom has 2 queen and 2 twin XL beds, both have large sliding glass doors leading out to the patio and the all season 13 ft Hot Tub/Swim Spa. The cozy 6th bedroom with small window and pocket door have a double+single bunk bed. The bathroom here has a massive 4 ft by 5 ft shower and double vanity. This 2nd kitchen allows 2 families to have their own space if preferred, when vacationing together.

The lower floor has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathrooms, living room, full kitchen and open play area.

The Outdoors

The 'backyard' has a gently sloping grassy area, a large wraparound deck with propane BBQ, a patio at the lower level walkouts, 13ft Hot Tub and Swim Spa and large dock. From here, there's a hill leading to the waterfront - you'll find a meandering sloping path with a few stone steps down to the lakefront and mature trees for shade. Also to the right is a snowmobile launch in winter and shallow entry into the water in summer for little ones and non-swimmers. Water entry here is on large flat smooth rock, no weeds.

You'll find 2 fire pits in the backyard, both overlooking the lake. The first fire-pit just steps away from the deck and cottage with 4 Muskoka chairs, surrounded by flagstone. The second, a smaller cozy fire-pit, right at the water's edge.

The very large Dock platform is 24 feet by 24 feet square, the perfect place to hang out on the water with 4 classic Muskoka chairs, a chair swing and space to sprawl out on a blanket or towel. A swim ladder makes it effortless to get in and out of the deeper water. Depth at the end of the dock is 6 feet with no weeds and gradually gets deeper from this point to about 13 feet, ideal for swimming and other fun water activities. Included is the use of 2 Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs), 1 Kayak and a 4-person Peddle Boat for water activities. Feel free to use our life jackets or bring your own. We have 4 adult and 1 toddler sized life jackets. You may also dock your boat here or inquire about a rental - the public launch is at Maple Lake.

Let's not forget the Hot Tub and Swim Spa. Connect your phone via bluetooth and relax to your fav tunes. This 13 foot long hot tub is kept at 100 degrees in summer and 104 degrees in winter. Allow yourself the luxury of a relaxing hot soak with friends (only use plastic containers for drinks) and stargaze from the hot tub at night, it's magical. Kids must be accompanied and supervised at all times.

The front yard has a large level lawn to play on, perfect for a soccer, badminton or volleyball game, bocce ball and at night? star gaze the awe-inspiring milky way away from the city lights. Many a shooting star has been wished upon here! Take in the morning sun on the wraparound deck at the front of the house.

Parking is available for up to 10 cars, or equivalent trucks/trailers.

Public Boat launch

Enjoy all seasons here at a fully winterized cottage on a three-lake system, with access to a public boat launch at the adjoining lake.
