Deep Bay, Sparrow Lake
Only 2.5 hours north of Toronto, between Orillia and Gravenhurst, the Muskoka beauty of natural bedrock, towering trees and stunning sunsets awaits at this family-oriented cottage that sits on a two-acre lot. This southwest facing, 1200 square foot pet-friendly cottage offers two bedrooms, one-bathroom, open concept living and a Bunkie, accommodating up to 8 guests.
The 700 feet of water frontage has two swimming areas, a gradual natural bedrock entry at the front of the cottage and a beautiful gradual sandy beach area out by the dock to the side. The dock is 3.5ft x 16ft and can accommodate a boat up to 16ft. The depth at the end of the dock is approximately 4ft depending on the water levels. A floating dock with a ladder is also located in the cove of the bay. With western exposure, the dock is filled with sun from the morning to afternoon where the sun then moves to the deck. Along the shoreline there are classic Muskoka chairs and a hammock to sit back and relax, while watching the children at play in the water. A canoe and rowboat are provided for guests to explore the tranquil waters of Sparrow Lake.
The large deck is furnished with a BBQ, outdoor patio set, and lounge area. The firepit is located towards the lake off the front deck, among the natural bedrock landscape, setting the relaxing tone of a Muskoka summer evening. The natural stone formations allow comfortable and large seating areas to take in nature at its finest. After sunset, this is also a great spot for star gazing. A wood burning chiminea is located on the other side of the front deck on a stone patio with additional seating.
This bungalow is equipped with 2 bedrooms, both offering single-over-queen bunk beds. A three-piece bathroom offers a double sink vanity, toilet, stand-up shower and stacked washer and dryer. The open concept living area offers a rustic ambiance through the kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances (fridge/stove/microwave), water cooler, toaster, coffee maker, blender, mixer, granite countertops and island with seating for two. Additionally, the pantry has lots of shelving for food storage. The dining table seats up to six and flows into the living room which boasts beautiful natural light and panoramic views of the lake and is furnished with a large sectional couch (pull-out).
The cottage offers a regular TV equipped with DVD and surround speakers offering an alternative activity for those rainy days. Various DVDs, books and games are provided at the cottage for guest enjoyment. The cottage has good cell phone reception for most providers.
The screened porch offers a card table and chairs, a quiet room perfect for relaxing with a hot cup of coffee early in the morning. The separate Bunkie offers two rooms, a bedroom with a double bed, including a couch, TV and chair, and a screened porch area with a fridge, microwave, seating area and dart board. Sparrow lake is great for fishing. There is a boathouse on site that is not open to guests. Since Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe feed into the lake, in the waters you will find small and large mouth bass, walleye and muskie. Nearby attractions and activities include the Muskoka Discover Centre, Muskoka Drive-in, Santa's Village, or a Muskoka Steamships tour which explores all of Lake Muskoka.

**Vacationer supplies their own linens: Sheets and pillowcases + Inside towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. Please inquire about other arrangements.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns
