A cute, cosy and unique family cottage that goes back for generations. One of the best spots on the Negeek lake, this waterfront sandy shoreline cottage is perfect for a families wanting to get away and relax by the lake. The Madawaska river playground has so much to offer; boating, water-sports, campfires, a boat up bar / restaurant, farmers markets, fishing and plenty more. The cottage faces out onto the beautiful Negeek lake which provides fantastic weed free swimming and beach life for all the family.
This cottage oozes character and is a perfect mix between sunshine filled days outside and cozy dark evenings. There is 'Pappy's' old workshop outside full of beach toys, outdoor furniture, floaties, a canoe, 2 x paddle boards and lots more, and a collection of wonderful trinkets and knick knacks inside the cottage will be sure to keep you entertained.
Fortunately or unfortunately - this cottage has no tv or wifi. We feel it adds to the nature of unwinding and enjoying the company of friends & family in a stunning and peaceful surrounding.

Note: From Toronto: Heading East on the 401, take Hwy 115/35 north. Turn right on Hwy 7 towards Ottawa. About 5km you the road you will make a left into Hwy 28 North to Bancroft (Coffee Time on the corner). Once in Bancroft you turn left onto Hwy 62 all the way into Combermere ON. Once there cross over the bridge (one of very few cured bridges) and turn right on Palmer Rd (former Hwy 515). Conley Lane is a right hand turning off this road about 3km down. | Billy was super responsive and nice in all contact and a pleasure to deal with.
We were 2 families with 5 kids combined aged 5-12. The cottage is very comfortable if you are looking for a rustic place to relax. The beds were comfortable, surprisingly good water pressure, really excellent little beach and swimming with sandy bottom and several floaties for use with 1 canoe. Also lots of life jackets for all ages. 2 fridges have lots of room for storage for all 9 of us.
We were one of their first public renters and gave feedback about the following improvements that would enhance the rental experience. If those things were to be done it's a easy 5 star rental.
Currently cottage has very old aluminum pots and pans which need to be upgraded. Bbq heat plate is rusted through and needs replacing. Only 1 boat limits group outings unless you bring your own boats.
All in all we had a great time and Billy couldn't have been nicer to deal with.
