Welcome to The Lofty Pines Cabin. This space is intended for guests to take time to unwind, deep breaths of fresh air and immerse yourself in nature.
This true northern oasis offers a western exposure view within steps of breathtaking sunsets on a private dock surrounded by towering white pines.
Slip into our tranquil wood-fire cedar hot tub or cozy up for a night under the stars around the fire.
THE SPACE:

Nestled amongst the trees you will find The Lofty Pines Cabin over looking the desirable Deer Lake.
Available to our guests we have our main cabin, a bunkie, a gazebo & a deck overlooking the glistening lake. Outdoor furniture is situated in areas to allow full relaxation during your stay. Canoe and kayaks are provided during your stay so you can explore Deer Lake.
SIZE:
Please keep in mind this is a petite cozy cabin that is under 700 sqft.
SLEEPING:
In the cabin you will find there are two separate sleeping spaces in the cabin. The main floor bedroom has a queen size bed. The inviting loft upstairs offers two single beds. The upstairs space does not have a door as it is open concept over looking the main floor.
**This space may not be suitable for small children**
BUNKIE:
A stone pathway lit with solar lights leads you to the bunkie. There is a queen size bed in the bunkie. There is no heat, cooling or bathroom in the bunkie. A ceiling fan is situated in the bunkie.
BATHROOM:
There is a three piece bathroom (sink, toilet & shower) located in the cabin, and an apartment size washer & dryer machine.
KITCHEN:
Fully equipped kitchen which includes: pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, fridge, stove, dishwasher, kettle, keurig machine, (no microwave) and a propane BBQ located off the deck.
**An extra fridge is located in the green shed for guest usage**
SCREENED IN PORCH:
A screened in porch is connected to the cabin through sliding glass doors. A dining table and chairs are located in this space. It is not heated and weather permitting allows for this space to be seated in.
DINING:
Meals can be enjoyed at the dining table in the screened in porch, on the porch or down by water. Fold up individual dinner tables are available.
WOOD BURNING STOVE:
A wood burning fire place is located on the main floor (not to be used between June-September)
**This space may not be suitable for small children as it is hot to touch and not gated**
WATER ACTIVITIES:
The inviting lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and all day water activities. A ladder is situated on the private dock allowing you to slip into the water off the dock. Two kayaks and one canoe are provided for your stay. Two extra large and two medium adult sized life jackets are provided. There is a public boat launch on the lake. Please let us know and we will provide further details regarding the boat launch.
HOT TUB:
Our cedar wood-fired hot tub is freshly cleaned before the arrival of each guest. Please note, the hot tub may take 3-5 hours of guest maintenance to check, restock and monitor fire/temperature to heat up to your preferred temperature. A detailed video will be provided to you upon your booking on the step by step process of using the tub.
**Kindling is provided to start the fire in the hot tub but guests will be responsible to purchase further amount of wood for hot tub usage**
FURNITURE/SHADE:
Outdoor furniture is located in areas for relaxation. A hard top gazebo is located near the water overlooking the lake. There is also an ample amount of shade provided from the towering pines.
FIRE/WOOD:
Please take the time to educate yourself on local fire-bans during your stay and adhere to the rules as required. Fires are only permitted in the fire-pitt area. Wood is not provided.
WIFI:
Welcome to cottage country. WIFI is available but please keep in mind it may not be as fast as your usual provider.
EVENTS/PHOTOSHOOT:
If you would like to use the space for professional purposes (elopement, photoshoot etc.), please contact us prior to booking.
INFANT & CHILDREN:
This space is listed as not suitable for children for the following reasons.
It is up to parents to decide if these factors work for their family:
-Indoor wood burning fire place is hot to touch with no gate
-Steep stairs to upstairs loft
-No door closing off loft from stairs
-Lake within close steps from cabin
-Not child proof (corners, outlets, cupboards etc.)
