The weather this time of year is 'spectacular' ......

..... Late August. Excellent time to rent.
Water is warm, nights are cooler, and days usually very sunny.
*** September is also exceptional, water still warm, nights cooler and fall leaves begin to appear.
*** exceptional for water skiing. tubing, kayaking and paddle boarding.
OUR RENTAL , go from Saturday to Saturday, (exceptions might occur later in the season)
NOTE 1: WE ONLY ALLOW SMALL HYPO-ALLERGENIC DOGS that fit ON ONE?S LAP and are house-trained.
NO OTHER PETS ARE ALLOWED.
NOTE 2: Minimum Rental Period is 5 days in July & 4 days in August , 3 days in June & September.
NOTR 3: We are a smoke-free rental cottage.
NOTE 4. For Families Renting,the maximum is 5 people
NOTE 5. For Adult- Only guests, maximum is 4 adults, ? 5 will be permitted at an extra charge of $125 per night.

REMINDER WE ARE A PET FREE AND SMOKE FREE COTTAGE. (Only small hypo-allergenic dogs that fit on lap are allowed and are toilet trained.)
The Cottage, has been recently renovated!
The Exterior has been recently painted.
Immaculate condition.
3 bedroom cottage! Private, shallow entry with a clean beach (free of weeds) and safe diving from dock.
Excellent golf courses include Club Links' Rocky Crest & The Rock Golf Club. Dock fits 2 boats. Faces West (sunrise). Beautiful wooded 2.5 Acre property. Lake Joe is spring fed with crystal clear water. Shopping in Port Carling and Parry Sound and the small hamlet of MacTier.

Classic Muskoka charm defines this beautiful property and cozy cottage, equipped with all the essentials for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The attentive owners are nearby and readily available if needed. Our kids had a blast jumping off the deep dock and exploring the lake with the kayaks and canoe. Perfect family getaway!

We enjoyed the most relaxing week at Chris and Bessie's cottage on the lake. It is evident how much they love this cottage and Lake Joseph.
We rented a boat for the week, and this cottage has a great dock space for boats. We spent most of our time either boating or relaxing in Muskoka chairs on the dock. We also enjoyed discovering off the water spots such as the charming town of Bala and the Muskoka cranberry farm and winery. We took a boat ride to Port Carling, but you can easily drive there. Chris and Bessie are such kind hosts, and we felt right at home in their adorable cottage. You will too!

This cottage is a true gem! It's beautifully and impeccably maintained on the inside as well as the outside. There's nothing like sitting on those Muskoka chairs in the morning and on a nice sunny day - it's serene and peaceful. The surrounding neighborhoods and people are very friendly. The cottage is also conveniently located to grocery stores as well as Port Carling. The owners are so very sweet and helpful - simply the best. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to be back!

Chris + Bessie were great hosts: friendly, helpful, easygoing + generous. Communication was easy, clear + prompt from our initial inquiry right through to fast refund of security deposit afterwards.

The cottage was clean, spacious + comfortable. The location is superb: right on the gorgeous lakefront + good access to amenities (only 10 min to Mactier Foodland or 20 min to Parry Sound Walmart Supercentre/No Frills). We even made a day trip to Santa's Village in Bracebridge which is too out of the way from where we live.

The water truly is CRYSTAL CLEAR! Dad didn't have too much luck fishing, but both kids caught a bunch of small basses and are convinced they are now bona fide fishing experts. :) We had fun splashing around the shallow entry shore, jumping off the end of the dock or just lounging, going out on the lake in the canoe or kayak. The kids didn't even care it was an adult kayak - they still had amazing fun taking turns with it!

We enjoyed the flat grass area beside the cottage for lawn games we brought, campfires at the fire pit (luckily fire ban had lifted when we visited) and eating outside on the patio.

Though it was our first time renting from Chris + Bessie and at the time there was no review yet, this cottage turned out to be everything it advertises to be and we had a fantastic 2-week vacation making memories for a lifetime!
