| This is a beautiful rustic cottage on a very private road and lake. We have so much fun here playing games by the wood fire with friends and family. There is lots of room for a large group to stay?with several beds and a large harvest table for big family-style meals. The view from the dock is peaceful at all times of day. We were fortunate enough to be visited by a friendly otter. And best of all we had a view of the Northern Lights! We will be back to this cozy cottage on the lake.

| The cottage is a beautiful old log home, with a beautiful view of the lake, and has great potential, we found it lacking in being taken care of. It wasn't that clean, and there's a problem with carpenter ants at the moment, a problem we were not notified about, nor discounted for when I informed the owners. They told me they were aware of the problem and had it fumigated the week priori and perhaps the ants were just disturbed. It wasn't pleasant trying to relax in the evening indoors and having ants crawl on you or the furniture near you! The livingroom also has a fowl urine smell from an animal that my husband had to find chemicals for to try and clean the area up. Again, the owners said thanks for doing that, but not even an apology. The bathroom had personal body hair still in it, my daughter cleaned it before she was even willing to get inside it. For the price, I feel I expected something a lot cleaner. When I first booked the cottage, communication as great. But afterwards I felt I had to chase down information a few times because no email was ever given that contained your standard checking in and out information package most hosts send out. And while it says linens are provided, you don't find out till you arrive that they charge you ($50) to use them (thankfully we came with lots of beach towels, so it served us double purpose). Also, be prepared to haul your garage to the dump yourself at the end of your stay, a detail not mentioned till you arrive!
