Welcome to the Bear Cave! Our humble hideout is now available to be rented on Little Kennisis Lake in Haliburton with stunning views from the great room. Beautiful 4 bedroom plus 1 newer cottage with over 2600 sq feet of space to enjoy. Spectacular elevated views of the Lake from multiple decks. There are a few sets of stairs to the lake, which provide a good workout. Only a 2.5 hour country drive from the GTA, Little Kennisis is renowned for clean, weed free water and excellent swimming. Great fishing for Lake trout and smallies with fishing rods available. Entertainment includes canoe, peddle boat, stand up paddleboard and kayak. Relax, play and float on the Lily pad for the young or young at heart. As a bonus, the water trampoline is available for additional fun! Enjoy Bell Gigabit Fibe 3.0 high speed internet with home theatre projector or work remotely without worry. Workout room complete with weights and elliptical for those who enjoy getting in a workout. Take in the tranquil sounds of nature while you sit in the screened in Muskoka/ Haliburton room without the bugs. For the kids, we have a Kids Corner with plenty of books, toys and a crafts table. Kid approved by our own little ones. On rainy days, there is plenty to do such as a starting a Ping Pong tournament or enjoy a relaxing game on our Pool table.
There is so much to experience in the area including the well known Haliburton Forest that has a Wolf Center, hiking and tree top trekking. There is a marina close by for renting powerboats and other water toys.
EV Level 2 charging available for Tesla's or other electric cars using an adapter for an NEMA 14-50 outlet.
If you are lucky in the winter, you could experience the Northern Lights.

| Our stay at Bear Cave Cottage on Lake Kennisis was absolutely perfect for our family. The cottage offered so much for the kids to do, keeping everyone entertained throughout our time there. The basement was a big hit, where we enjoyed playing ping pong and pool. Movie nights were another highlight, made even better by the cozy atmosphere.
The kitchen was impressively well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, making it easy to settle in and feel right at home. The blend of modern amenities with rustic charm gave the place an authentic cottage feel, which we loved. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all had restful nights after our fun days.
One of our favorite parts of the trip was the walk down to the lake. While it's a bit of a trek, the journey feels like a fun adventure, and it's definitely worth it when you reach the water. The dock was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy family time. We had a blast on the water trampoline, and the fishing off the dock was fantastic?lots of fish were caught! The water itself is wonderfully deep with no weeds, making swimming a real pleasure.
Overall, Bear Cave Cottage provided an ideal retreat for our family. We made so many great memories here, and we'd definitely love to come back again.

| In August, my family of five along with our three friends stayed at Little K Bear Cave for a week (4 adults, 4 children). From start to finish our expectations were exceeded. Communication with the hosts throughout our stay was amazing and all our questions were answered quickly and effectively.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome gift which included a smores kit (all four children thoroughly enjoyed), local beers and other treats, which was a very appreciated touch. The cottage itself was very clean, spacious and well stocked with everything needed for cooking, washing, sleeping, etc. There was a cozy and welcoming atmosphere from the second we walked through the door. The views from the cottage, especially from one of the decks or from the upstairs loft bedroom were breathtaking.
There are multiple stairs down to the lake, which we knew about prior to booking, but we looked at it as a chance to get daily exercise and it was well worth it! The hosts provided many different water toys from a water trampoline, kayaks, canoe, pedalboat, etc. We spent every day down by the lake and out on the water. The lake is very clean and beautiful. Little Kennisis lake is the best lake for swimming we have experienced in all our years of cottage renting.
Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We highly recommend Little K Bear Cave. You won't be disappointed! We can't wait to book it again for next summer!

| Our stay at Bear Cave cottage was absolutely perfect! The cottage was way bigger than we expected. Plenty of space for all the guests, the three full bathrooms was an added bonus! Our kids loved the bunk beds and fun toys in the basement. Even on the rainy days, there were many activities available to keep everyone busy (home theatre, board games, puzzles and Nintendo!)
We had endless amounts of fun with all the water activities. The lily pad and water trampoline were a hit with both the adults and kids. The adults especially loved the paddle board. We also enjoyed how quiet the lake was during the week, very minimal boat and jet ski activity. Needless to say it was a very relaxing week!
Overall our stay exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back in 2025!

| The cottage was great! Our group of friends had a relaxing time fishing for Lake Trout. We actually caught our first Trout off the docks. The highlight was watching the Leafs game on the big screen projector and it would have been better if they had won but that's not related to the cottage. Canoeing on the peaceful lake and getting a few jumps on the water Trampoline was a bonus. We will definitely book again. Thanks Kevin!

| Bear Cave cottage is truly a great cottage and Kevin and Mee are extremely nice and helpful owners. Bear Cave had everything we could ask for. It was well stocked with spices, delicious hot chocolate and coffee, Bluetooth speaker (the one we brought, stopped working so this was very useful), games and entertainment. The wifi was fast. The views from the cottage were spectacular. The top room had the best view in the house. We would definitely book again.
