We invite you to enjoy cozy cottage on Howe Island The cottage offers an unforgettable stay where you will enjoy views of St.Lawrance River, ships passing by as they slowly go up and down and sunset views during your dinner.
Cottage has one bedrooms with double beds and a second bedroom with one bunk beds and double beds, living room has a sofa that converts in double bed. Cottage has fully equipped kitchen with propane stove and fridge, toaster, French press coffee maker; there is no microwave. We also provide BBQ with a tank of propane, picnic table, fire pit, Muskoka chairs, for you to enjoy. You have access for 4 single kayaks and life jackets (4 adults and 2 kids ) for you to enjoy as well. we have strong cellular signal and we provide WiFi
SOLAR PANELS and batteries provide electricity during your stay. Remember, should you overuse the power, you will end up having none available to you until the sun will power the batteries again. Power outage is part of off grid experience. In true emergency, there is generator with 20 L of gas for power back up.
Water to the cottage provided from the river and, therefore, is not suitable for drinking. Water is safe for bathing, dishwashing and cleaning. We will provide 4Gal bottle of drinking water per stay. Should you believe, you may need more, please bring it with you.
We all are striving for conservation of resources/
energy and water is one of them. Should you wish to bring paper plates, it will provide you with fire starter, save water and, best of all, gives you break from washing plates.
Howe Island is an island located in the St. Lawrence River in close proximity to towns of Gananoque and Kingston and is part of the Thousand Islands chain. The towns of Gananoque and Kingston, make the resources of those communities convenient and are minutes away by car or boat. There are no retail stores or restaurants on Howe island, so plan accordingly.
Two ferry services connect the island to the mainland: a County-operated ferry near Kingston and the Township-operated "Foot Ferry" near Gananoque, provide ferry service 24/7 for 8$ total per two way
We provide bed linens, pillows and duvets.
To avoid cleaning change of 150$, we ask you to please leave cottage the way you find it.
Fireworks are forbidden on property.
Deck and boat lunch, and beach area share with owners and another cottage rentals.
