History: In the late 18th Century, in this very same lot, there use to be a monumental structure with a proud history called" The Greenpoint Lodge". During the 18th century, "The Greenpoint Lodge", was widely known as the fisherman's flea market for the early settlers of Prince Edward County for shopping. During the 18th century, this landmark was a prime location for fishing and boat launch area. The water access to "The Long Reach", still exists right behind this property. In 1990's, this lot was purchased and "The Greenpoint Lodge" was demolished due to its unusable structural status. Finally a few years back in 2016, in this 1.4 acre greenery lot, a stunning customized ranch style bungalow was built on top of "The Greenpoint Lodge".

On your Journey to "County Greenside Lakeview Resort", a private quiet peaceful country living exists. On your expedition, as you pass through the Skyway Bridge, onto this great big island by itself called as the Prince Edward County. There you will see the shores along "The Long Reach" as part of "The Bay of Quinte", and you will discover abundance of wildlife. In recent years, many have spotted the return of a number of bald eagles nesting along the north and south shores. Not only does this property offers a bit of heritage, history and wildlife but is a centralized location to many wineries & crafts breweries, and allows quick access to many highways, roads, and is yearly maintained by the municipality.

The nature greenery lakeside paradise is a blend of trees, greenery, water and more! Close to all main attractions in the Picton and Prince Edward County areas. There is a 15 minutes drive to Picton downtown and Picton Harbour where you can experience shows, dining and more. One of the many wineries (Three Dog Winery) in PEC is only a 7 min drive. Only a 30 minute drive to Wellington Beach and Sandbanks Provincial Park.

NOTES

Hi,

The water access in behind our home into the water. The Bay of Quinte water acces is very shallow to deep, the good thing is that the water access isn't deep end right away. Yes, the water is accessible to the general public so you can swim, boating, fishing, anything as you please. Our property is a good 1.5 acre lot. The great thing is that, lots of privacy and lots of space to run around, especially for the kids. We've had many families with kids rent here before, they loved it. Since we have a small children's toy room in the shed, so they are welcome to use and play in the backyard. Yes, there is a boating rental place nearby. This Prince Edward County is a huge Island on its own, known for great wineries, very scenic as well as greenery. Near to the Sand Banks National Park, as well as Lake on the mountain, Glendora Ferry and etc. Nearby is Picton downtown and the other side is Nappanee down town, both are around 10 to 15 minutes drive from our home.

We stayed at the Greenside County Home 2 families of 4 and grandparents. It was spacious for all, and everyone found a favourite place in it. My daughter's favourite was a cozy room facing the lake where she could escape and enjoy her books at sunset. In the deck, we enjoyed morning coffees and BBQs. In the garden, you will find a firepit where we sat around a bonfire, and we were lucky to witness the Perseid meteor shower. Magic! The house is fully equipped: central A/C, laundromat, drinkable water, TVs in every room and fast Wi-Fi. You will be close to Sand Banks and all amenities. If you stay at home, you'll be in a quiet street leading to the lake. Greenery surrounds the house and taking walks is a treat. Lastly, our host was always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Greenside Lakeview County Resort was a treat. We enjoyed time reunited with friends and family members. Out of all our stays at Prince Edward County, this place would definitely be at the top of our list. Very spacious, scenic and peaceful. And the resort owner was very respectful and helpful. We would definitely book here again next summer.
