Welcome to the Cedar Loft (Instagram @thecedarloft). Located in a quiet bay of Buckhorn lake, our cottage has great access to many areas including Buckhorn, Sandy Lake and Bobcaygeon. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, a spacious living space with wood burning fireplace, tv/ office room with memory foam pull out, kitchen with breakfast bar and table, laundry and a sunroom that has a large dining table that accommodates 10 people and another living/lounge area. We also offer a pool table in the basement with two extra pull out couches.
Outside our guests can enjoy a large deck with Muskoka chairs. Our fire pit also has plenty of seating and we offer a playground area for kids age 3-8 years which allows parents to relax while keeping a close eye on their little ones playing.
The access to the lake is via a small sandy area/beach that is shallow enough for a gradual entry. At the end of the dock the lake is deeper but we recommend careful entry due to natural vegetation, rocks and tree stumps. We do have an aqua thruster that is on during the summer months to keep natural vegetation away from the swimming area. This area is known for great fishing and boating since we connect to the Trent system. There is a boat launch 3 minutes away if you are bringing a motor boat during your stay.
Sunsets are stunning at our place.
There is a canoe, a paddle boat, 2 stand up boards and paddles/adult lifejackets. We recommend you bring your own lifejackets also as we only have enough for 4 adults. We also have some kids' lifejackets but since these need to be properly fitted we recommend you bring your own.
We have an outside shower and we allow one pet with restrictions.
The main cottage accommodates 10 adult guests and maximum 3-5 kids. We do not allow parties. If you are celebrating a special occasion, please contact your host beforehand.
Note: This ad does not include usage of the garage and loft unit above it. If you require to rent that unit, please contact the host separately. The loft unit can accommodate 4 more guests (2 adults + 2 kids) (we have one queen bed and a queen pull out couch). The unit has a kitchenette, a bathroom with shower stall.
For safety reasons, we have 3 security cameras outside the property only facing entrances / exit points. For further questions, please contact your host.
