| Amazing stay, and we plan to stay there again!
I was there solo with two families I'm friends with, and the group had a newborn, a kindergartener, and a nine-year-old. It was an off-season rental and the kids had a great time crashing through the snow (and, very occasionally, given a bit of TV time with internet that was more than sufficient for streaming.)
The hot tub was great, everything worked, and the view of the lake was stunning. The biggest plus for me, though, was that the place had a kitchen that was usable for actually cooking in! My buddy and I did most of the cooking for the group. I've seen a lot of rentals where the kitchen is set up to just look at, and this place had everything we needed to feed the whole group well. (We did ceviche, seafood stew, made 24h gravlax, plus had an easy time making bog-standard breakfasts).
It wasn't far for us, because we all live in Kingston, which was an added bonus. With my friends' kids involved and everyone having other life commitments, it was really nice having a lakeside cottage that we could get to quickly -- and the kids loved the ferry ride.
Great experience. Five out of five. Hope you'll have us again.
(Suggestion to add some wall-mounted shelving in the smallest bedroom for unpacked clothing, and more towel hooks/bars in the bathroom and next to the hot tub)

| We had a fantastic time during our week at Heron's Keep. The cottage is comfortable and well-equipped and easily accommodated our group of 6. There is so much to do just at the cottage itself - walking along the deserted country roads, observing wildlife (deer, loons, swans, otters, snakes, fireflies, hummingbirds, rabbits...), swimming in the clear water, stand-up paddleboarding, chilling on the porch watching the world go by... We loved our time here and would definitely return.

| Everything about this place is perfect. The water is crystal clear, the yard is very private, the bunkie is a kids cottage in itself, ice in the freezer, info cards on the counter, thriving wild life population, board games, beautiful location. I'm a homebody and usually after 7 days I'm itching to get back. Not this place, it feels like home. Just bring your food and drinks that's all you need.

| We spent the weekend at the Herons Keep for a quiet Bachelorette party. It is a beautifully finished, comfortable and welcoming with all the necessary amenities you need for a great weekend. The beds, furniture and patio furniture are all very comfortable, and there's plenty of outdoor seats for everyone. We enjoyed a night by the campfire, which was perfect, with just enough of a breeze to keep the bugs away. Some family visited us one afternoon, and the kids had a blast on the paddleboards and swimming in the bay, and using the hot tub. The yard was perfect for some lawn games, and we enjoyed the little sand beach to sink our toes in. We enjoyed a night around the fire table to finish off our weekend. I wish we could come back every weekend!

| My extended family had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Heron's Keep. We enjoyed the great views, cooling breeze, spacious open cottage and especially all the comfy outdoor seating. We appreciated many thoughtful touches by the owner, such as providing beach towels, binoculars and firewood. The water in the bay is quite shallow, but can be somewhat rough at times for the provided watercraft, so having other pastimes such as the hot tub was great. We also went to the local golf course. The excellent feel of the bedding and bath towels made me think I was at a hotel. Very nice! The nearby roads are not paved, so perhaps bikes with narrow tires are not recommended.
