The town of Barry's Bay is a n 8 minute drive for your basic needs - like ice cream (available at the Barry's Bay Dairy or the Frozen Yogurt Desserts store) as well as a Tim Horton's, multiple restaurants and café's, an LCBO, Beer Store, 2 grocery stores and a kayak/canoe outfitter. You can launch your boat at the boat launch on Long Lake. For activities, the Madawaska Kanu Centre and Barry's Bay Golf course are close by to tempt everyone in your group
