Only 1.5 hours outside the GTA. Come enjoy and relax at our family cottage anytime of the year. Newly renovated. We now have A/ C, dishwasher and laundering on site. Large waterfront deck with a screened in gazebo. Your own personal 40 ft dock. Outdoor firepit. Cottage balcony with amazing views of the lake. Large waterfront lot with lots of privacy! Casino Rama 20 minutes away. Visit Orillia (25 minute drive).
Outstanding fishing all year long (Bass, Pike, Pickerel, Crappie, Muskie, and lots of sunfish and perch for the kids). Golf in the summer and ice fish in the winter. Western Trent Golf Club 10 minutes away. Golf directly on the Trent River! B104 trail system for ATVS and sleds. Endless outdoor activities to enjoy. Breathtaking sunsets.
Access to community beach with playground, boat launch and volleyball court. Please respect all community members and limit noise after 11:00pm. The boat launch has a $20 community fee which covers in and out privileges. Free public boat launch 5 minutes away at Osprey Lane. Our dock can accommodate basically any size watercraft for docking.
The space:
4 season cottage for rent right on Lake Dalrymple. Lots of space for the entire family. 2 bedroom plus a den. 2 queen beds, 1 futon, and a bunk with a pull out trundle (6 beds total). 2 levels. Full kitchen. Family room. Upstairs is an open space with table tennis setup option or keep it open to play, exercise or use at your leisure. 2 Bathrooms with 1 stand up shower. Lots of board games, books, and gaming consoles for those rainy and cold days.
Outdoors we have a 40ft aluminum dock for your boat and other watercraft with amazing fishing right off the dock! There is a massive waterfront deck with a BBQ for you to cook your favorite foods. We will have a canoe, kayak and float toys for the kids to enjoy your own personal waterfront. The water is walk in, no seaweed, sandy bottom but water shoes recommended for the kids. A great spot for swimming! Approx. 5 ft deep at the end of the dock. Large fire pit with lots of seating for you to enjoy a warm night fire and s'mores. This is a double lot property with 120ft of waterfront to enjoy (larger than most properties in the area).
We are always adding to our cottage so this is by no means an exhaustive list.
Guest access:
No guest access to the boathouse.
If its in the cottage, its there for you to use and enjoy!
Wifi is available but not always guaranteed. We have Bell satellite TV with 2 receivers (Bell "better" package). Cell phone reception with Bell and Roger's is excellent.
Other things to note:
Keypad entry. You'll have complete privacy and will not see the host during your stay if not wanted.
Fresh towels and sheets now at our cottage. If you would like to bring your own sheets let us know and we'll remove ours before your arrival. Paper towel and toilet paper provided. (If you forget something let us know!).
Wood is available for purchase on sight. Contact host for details.
Want to try ice fishing? Message for details. Pike fishing on our lake does not close and is excellent fishing all year long. We can also recommend ice hut operators in the area including on Lake Simcoe for world class ice fishing only 15 minutes away.
If you forget something or have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We are close by and can accommodate almost anything big or small.
We are on a well and our water is tested regularly. Safe for drinking.
Strict no smoking policy inside this cottage. Any lingering smoke smell of any kind will come from your deposit for professional cleaning ($500 cleaning charge).
Max 6 persons. Guests above this number will be asked to leave. The cottage is spacious but can not accommodate any numbers beyond this.
Bunk bed has a weight limit of 220 lbs per bunk.
No fireworks allowed at any time.
