The Cottage is over 100 years old. It is a true authentic cottage with a lot of charm. A new addition was built in 2023 that includes a bathroom, master bedroom and a loft that has 3 single beds and 1 queen sized bed. There is one bedroom in the original cottage that has a queen size bed. The location is very private. It has screened in veranda facing the lake, wonderful for relaxing, enjoying a great breeze with no bugs. It also has a large deck right on the water that has sunshine for the bulk of the day . The water is shallow with a nice sandy bottom. It is great for young kids. Renters have use of a canoe, float mat, a SUP and other water toys.
The cottage is 10 min from the town of Eganville where you will find a Foodland, beer store, LCBO, as well as a great bakery. Other fun things to enjoy in the area would be white water rafting, or a visit to the Bonechere caves.
The kitchen is fully equipped. Sheets and blankets are provided. Pillows are not. The cottage is a great place to play board games. We have left a nice selection.

Christena's Lake Dore Cottage is an absolute gem! The main cottage is filled with rustic charm and has a beautiful wrap around porch with stunning views of the water. The cottage was very clean, has a well stocked kitchen, ample seating and comfy outdoor seating. There are tons of board games to enjoy, two SUP boards, a canoe, kayaks and a large floating mat for hours of fun. The waterfront was shallow and sandy. Perfect for children!
The brand new and sizeable bunkhouse has two bedrooms, a generous loft and a modern bathroom and laundry. This space has comfortable beds, is air conditioned and well equipped. There are towels and bedding provided. It's the perfect spot to sleep on hot summer days! The cottage is both private and close to amenities within 10 minutes: golf, groceries, farmers markets, LCBO, Ice Cream shops, bakeries, restaurants. We loved our time at Lake Dore and Christena was very accommodating and responsive. We will definitely be returning next summer!
