IG: @parkplaceonthelake Park Place on the lake is a recently renovated A-frame cottage nestled directly on the serene shores of Young Lake, a smaller spring fed lake, part of the Kawartha Lakes region which offers a gentle sandy bottom and warm temperatures. It offers a nice gradual entry, great for swimming and paddling with the use of our provided kayaks, canoe or paddle boards. Enjoy the tranquility on the private dock just steps away from the cottage as you sip your morning coffee or watch the breathtaking sunsets overlooking the lake with the western facing shoreline. Cozy up around the fire pit, toast marshmallows and share stories while soaking up the serene views of the lake. Step into the A-frame and immerse yourself into a beautifully designed interior with stylish decor that seamlessly blends vintage and contemporary elements. The newly renovated kitchen sets the tone, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals throughout your stay. Indulge in the luxury gold utensils, alongside essentials like a fridge, electric stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, drip coffee maker and a french press. Help yourself to the complimentary coffees, teas, matcha and hot chocolate as well as a variety of spices, oil, vinegar, and vanilla. Cooking in this kitchen is a dream with the views of the lake pouring in. Gather around the round wooden table, comfortably seating four to enjoy your meals inside.

From the kitchen, you are greeted into the vaulted, bright and clean open concept living area, featuring floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the lake. The living area has comfortable seating including a spacious luxury leather couch and two mid-century modern armchairs. Stay cozy with an assortment of blankets to snuggle up with and catch a show or movie on the 50? smart television with casting feature and Netflix installed. The coffee table trunk reveals an abundance of cards, puzzles and board games to provide endless hours of fun and quality time with your loved ones.

The A-frame features 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms to choose from, you are sure to find the perfect one for you. The most loved is the spacious private master loft which hosts a comfortable queen bed with breathtaking views of the lake. The main floor offers a welcoming guest bedroom with a cozy double bed alongside an additional bedroom offering two twin-sized beds, perfect for the kids. All bedrooms include comfortable bedding, fresh white linens, pillows and extras blankets. The cottage comfortably accommodates six guests.

The newly renovated main floor bathroom is sure to please with a lovely walk in, fully tiled shower with a removable hand-held shower head for your convenience. High end professional shampoo, conditioner and body wash, fluffy white towels and hairdryer are provided as well as a diffuser with essential oils to set your desired relaxing fragrance. The bathroom also comes fully equipped with a washer and dryer for the convenience of your stay.

Stepping out of the cottage through the sliding doors, you are greeted by the very spacious deck, the ideal spot for relaxing and sharing moments with family and friends. It provides ample seating with an 8 seat porcelain and wicker patio set, complimented by 2 wooden tamarack chairs, perfect for sunning along with a Weber BBQ for outdoor cooking.
Walking down the deck stairs you are greeted by the welcoming outdoor fire pit area which include 4 adirondack chairs offering a welcoming space to enjoy the stunning lake views and the private dock only steps away offering an additional 2 adirondack chairs.
If you wish to catch some shade on those sunny days, the spacious back deck has you covered. Lounge in the hammock or relax on another set of wooden tamarack chairs under the towering trees above. It's also the perfect spot for sipping coffee and taking in the sun's morning rays. Both decks are strung with string lights that add a magical touch to the ambiance.
The property is nestled on a 50x400' lot, providing plenty of green space in the backyard, perfect to enjoy lawn games.

~ The tap water is safe to drink and is tested regularly.
~ No boat launch on property
~Wood is free to use if present on fire rack next to cottage, otherwise wood bags available for purchase at Sebright General store
~Full range of life jackets and water shoes are available in storage box on deck but bring your own to be sure for your own safety.
~ All guests must wear a life jacket while operating any boat, including kayaks, canoe and paddle board and guests assume all risks when conducting any activities on the property

| We had a wonderful stay at this 3-bedroom A-frame. It's quiet and peaceful, and it has everything you need, so there was nothing we had to bring or run out to buy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the whole place felt cozy and clean.
The lake is the star. The floating dock is great for lounging in the sun, and the kayak and paddle were ready to go. The fire pit right by the water was perfect for evenings, with a sunset over the lake that was hard to beat. Fall colours were just starting to show, which made it even prettier.
There's also a cute little store nearby that sells jams, tarts and cheese. It was a fun stop, and we came home with some tasty treats.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing escape. We'd happily stay again!

That's great you discovered Quaker Oaks Farm, the little Betty Boop local shop just 5 mins from the cottage and brought home some tasty treats— they have famous butter tarts of many different flavours and we always bring home their dill pickle and roasted red pepper cheese curds! | We had such an amazing experience at Kristen and Dave's cottage! This place had everything we could ever need or want on a cottage getaway. Our family of 5 loved all the kayaks and paddle board, on such a beautiful lake. Our cottage felt very private and peaceful, with the decks, the docks and the beautiful sunsets every night. The cottage is so cozy, with perfect amenities (I love my morning coffee!) The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows too. The personal touches are so appreciated and we can't wait to come back again!

| The hosts Kristen and Dave have put a lot of time and thought into making this cottage cozy, comfortable and with all the amenities you would need to have a great stay. It was tasteful decorated, and the outdoor table and chairs were perfect for meals on the deck with a perfect view of the sunsets. I would highly recommended this cottage! Perfect place for a family getaway.
